Summary: This is a beautiful pot for making sukiyaki nights with the fam happen or serving ramen at the kontatsu when it's cold outside. I'll use it exclusively for japanese cooking and for bringing together my family. The quality of the product is well worth the money and one must not forget to register for the warranty just in case something needs to be replaced.
Summary: Simply the best fry pan we've ever had. You can do pretty much anything in this, from scrambled eggs to making chili. One of the great things about this as compared to a conventional pan is that if it's getting too hot, you can lift the pan off the heating unit and set it so that it's not touching the heating surface. So instead of having stuff burn you can stop the heating process almost immediately.
Summary: I bought this skillet because the burners on my stove don't get hot enough to sear food. This skillet doesn't either. If you want to brown stew meat on all sides, for instance, it will only turn the meat a sickly brown and cause it to leak out all fluid. The heating power just isn't there. In addition, the simmer setting is way too hot and keeps fluid at a full boil until you turn the skillet down to the "keep warm" setting. I'm disappointed in this purchase.
Summary: This appliance does everything it's advertised to do, and I really love its safety features -- quick-release magnetic plug, flat knob for laying the lid upside down, and cool-touch handles on the cooking vessel, as well as on the body of the cooking unit itself. All of these things make perfect common sense, and I'm glad to see Zojirushi incorporated them in this appliance.
Summary: Our hot pot died, so we decided to invest on something more long lasting. Couldn't go wrong with Zojirushi brand since we also have the water heater, going strong for 3 years now. We mostly used it to have in house shabu shabu dinner during the cold days. It heats up quickly and saves us a trip to the restaurant.
Summary: This is my second electric skillet! I have had my first one for about 6 years......and still works great but I have two homes and want one at both places. Very pleased with Zojirushi products. Also have a rice cooker that is great too!
Summary: Love, love, love this pan! I use it for just about everything in the kitchen. So easy to clean and I like the idea I can adjust the temperature to what i want. Everything comes out wonderful. I've used it so much in the years I've had it that I may need another soon.
Summary: I have used this skillet several times and have been pretty satisfied. Being round, you lose a lot of space that a square shape has. The one thing I notice is that it is slow to heat up, but it browns better than the cheaper coil type. It is easy to clean and I like you can take the pan out of the unit and serve and wash.
Summary: I bought this skillet recently, and I love it. So for, I cooked Sukiyaki 3 times, and it worked wonderfully. It heats up quickly, deep enough, and easy to clean up. The only thing I must mention is its size. With the lid on, the size is 15.5"w x 14"d x 7.8" h. Be aware that you need a large space to store it.
