Summary: This is amazing. Lots of sukiyaki has been made in this pan. It keeps things warm and boils quickly. Holds enough food to keep 6 of us well fed. Easy to set the temp. The cord can be a bit short if you're using a big table, but is easy to work around.
Summary: Made in China now. The quality is very good and the thermostat holds temperature well. The Teflon coating appears to be high quality. The cord is magnetic at the connector, a nice safety feature.
Summary: This is a beautiful pot for making sukiyaki nights with the fam happen or serving ramen at the kontatsu when it's cold outside. I'll use it exclusively for japanese cooking and for bringing together my family.
Summary: Simply the best fry pan we've ever had. You can do pretty much anything in this, from scrambled eggs to making chili. One of the great things about this as compared to a conventional pan is that if it's getting too hot, you can lift the pan off the heating unit and set it so that it's not touching...
Summary: We bought this so our Japanese exchange student could make sukiyaki. It worked great for that and I have also used it for braising meat. I have not had any problems with it and like having it in my kitchen "arsenal."
Summary: I use this for hot pot, and it works well -- heats quickly and efficiently, holds enough food for 3 to 5 people to eat from, etc.. I haven't used its other features like grilling or cooking on a stovetop, but the inner bowl seems sturdy enough to live up to its name.
