Summary: As an obvious cost cutting measure, the unit no longer has a chrome metal base as illustrated. It's now plastic and matches the body. I'm disappointed that the product is no longer as pictured or advertised and will be returning the unit. I've included a picture for reference.
Summary: Nice can opener- couple of features- knife sharpener, bottle opener, and certainly tall enough for almost any can. I really really wish the tops of the cans didn't get overtaken with can contents.

Summary: I bought this based on all the positive reviews. It is attractive. But it fails over and over to grip the can on the first try, and shreds the labels everywhere. Eventually you get the can open, but it's not worth the hassle.
Summary: I order this product back in November on my search for a nice can opener. My mother has arthritis in her hands and has been struggling with opening cans so the first on the xmas list from me to her was a electric can opener.

Summary: The best can opener we've ever had. Don't waist your time and money on cheap ones that have to replaced every few months. I got tired of them. We decided to go for the West Bend and we don't regret it. It is fast and very quiet. It also comes with a knife sharpener and a bottle opener.
Summary: Better hope nothing goes wrong.FIVE emails on a can openers warranty.Every time I supplied them for what they asked for, they asked for something else.Obviously their policy is to frustrate the cusomer long enough until they give up.By the way the replacement head for the opener, cost more than the...
Summary: Got an electric can opener because the manual ones I tried all hurt my thumb and wrist, and were a major struggle to open, and they seldom removed the entire lid. By comparison this one is wonderful, and very easy to use.
Summary: I bought this can opener in December 2009 and I need to replace it. The lever has become almost impossible to lift in order to fit the can on the opener. I'm not sure what the issue is--I think the blade is rubbing up against the back of the attachment.
Summary: After unsuccessfully trying to open yet another can of tomatoes, I was so frustrated that I asked my grand daughter to please help me. She wasn't able to open it either. I had an ergonomic, expensive manual can opener that just wasn't working properly.
