Summary: I have owned the previous version of these and they have been a good workhorse in the kitchen but recently I was having issues with the battery holders, especially the salt one. Slowly but surely it went downhill until one day I'd had enough so a search on here and in the local supermarket provided...
Summary: A little big, but functionally excellent. Bought this as I like ground salt, but EVERY pot I had ever bought leaked salt and/or gave inconsistent delivery (rocks one minute and ground the next). Thought Id bite the bullet and upgrade to an electronic version as is the want of gadget-head.
Summary: Loved it for three years then , on it's own the salt m/c would turn itself on and keep grinding until it was turned upside down and the button constantly being pressed. The pepper pot also gave up, even after new batteries and a good clean. .

Summary: The product well before the estimated delivery. These mills appear to be much better made compared with the Salter mills I bought about a year back. The contacts for the light are much more robust being solid pins rather than bent pieces of wire. The light works well too.
Summary: These lasted around 18 months before the salt grinder stopped illuminating. We changed the batteries and the lamp but nothing helped, when we took it apart it was obvious that the salt had corroded the connections, hence no light. The pepper grinder however has had no such problem and still lights.
Summary: Saw these at somebody else's house one day and loved the look of them. Eventually got around to purchasing them (even got them on sale), and felt a little guilty thinking 'do I really need electronic salt and pepper grinders?" Now that I've used them though, the answer is a resounding YES.
Summary: I'm not sure if I got a bad set as I haven't seen others mention it in the few reviews here I've read, but both mills grind far coarser (larger grinds) than I'm used to or have had before. Initially I was very pleased when I opened the box and they are handsome, if a little imposing.
Summary: Bought these approx. 6 weeks ago, and have used them a few times now. Nice and easy to use at the touch of a button, but not sure how long the batteries will last. They each come with and sit in a small clear base that saves making a mess on the kitchen worktop where they live.
Summary: I bought a set of these grinders for my elderly father who suffers from arthritis. He finds them much easier to use than standard grinders as you just have to press a button to release the contents.
