Summary: Bought this knife in July this year it's now September 3 months later and it is broken. We took it apart to see what was going on and the gearing on the one blade has actually dis-integrated. This is the third electric knife I have owned over the past thirty years, the first Kenwood but also the last. Very Disappointed.
Summary: Very happy with this knife, I struggle due to weak hands and can't put much pressure on things so this was a good investment for me. The only thing is it dose vibrate a bit so I can't use if to long without it hurting my hands. I was very pleased with the fact it came with spare blades and I think it is good value for money. Would recommend it to anyone.

Summary: Purchase this item on the 05-03-2012, i have been using it quite a lot, but i will not buying another one it just gave up on me last week. It's not a good investment for 2 yrs 6 months usage is it?
Summary: Bought one in 2010, which has just gone phut. It was never tremendous when it was new, with so much lost motion in the blades that it actually moved them by less than the pitch of the bread blade serrations. This made it poor on fresh bread, needing you to move it to and fro. It also sounded "tight", like the motor had to work really hard even when not cutting. When I took it apart (as one does) I found the brushes were completely worn down.
