Summary: Pro's: Good response Programmable Gaming Setup on the side 2x USB ports built-in Audio ports built in Backlit Con's: Requires a good amount of USB power to run, even without any add-ons. I cannot use a USB extension cable with this. Even plugged directly in, didn't draw enough power to power the additional ports. I have an Alienware Aurora with USB3.0 and it wasn't enough power plugged directly in.
Summary: great keyboard. horrible software. the 3 hot keys would be nice and useful if they didn't open Internet Explorer along with the program you assigned to the key. i have deleted the shortcuts in the shortcuts folder as recommended, but it still opens IE regardless. i have only played WOW with it, and it is great for that. i have not tried any of the game profiles from the software. with better software, this keyboard would easily earn 5 stars.
Summary: I bought this keyboard to consolidate my Nostromo and 101 key. I followed the instructions to get it installed and instant BSOD. It should be a simple plug-n-play. After the reboot, the installation was complete with no further incident. (Asus mobo and Windows 7 Ultimate). The play action on the gaming side isn't too bad. The keys could be a bit more ergonomic. I guess I was spoiled on my Nostromo. The USB ports and ear phone / mic jacks are welcome additions.
Summary: The gaming pad on the left is pretty cool. The qweasd keys are big and easy to hit accurately again and again. There is a location bump on the S pad which is helpful, and the numerous additional buttons are convenient and have commonly enough used keys that extensive remapping is probably not needed. Even though this is a membrane keyboard, the keys have a good feel to them - there is a wide and long cylinder that each key has a 'piston' for with ample travel distance.
Summary: Let me just start this off by saying the whole reason i bought this keyboard to begin with was the game pad. I play a lot of fps and mmo games so i thought this would aid in playing these types of games. This would work normally but i have very big hands and when i was trying to play games with the pad my hand was all squished together, and cramped up very quickly. The keyboard is very sturdy and well made but the small gamepad was the downfall for me.
Summary: I love the dedicated game keypad with it's ergonomic key shapes and the configurability of the Z Engine software (which must be downloaded separately, it does not come with the keyboard). The keyboard has a solid feel, it doesn't flex under keypresses and is heavy enough that you needn't worry about it sliding around while you are using it. That said, the design has a lot of shortcomings.
Summary: I've had this keyboard for 2 years, it's a great keyboard in general. The gamepad takes a little getting used to but now I need a new keyboard and wish I could find one with a similar pad built on, fantastic idea. Fully programmable and comfortable to use. The only problem I ever had was sticky keys, after about 1 year the keys started to become difficult to type with, I took it apart and cleaned it several times at a couple of hours each since I literally cleaned it key...
Summary: Ive had for many years a merc stealth made by ideazone. From no fault of its own it is dead now and I have replaced it. Problem is some of the stock right now has a defective right strafe button. Pull the keyboard out of the box and check it before you buy it as I have returned 3 now. Other then that it is an awesome gaming board and is very comfortable to use.
