Excerpt: Although it's not completely mushy, the Saitek Eclipse is a soft feeling keyboard and its great to use. I was in need of a new keyboard and I saw it for $20 on sale and I decided to jump on the wagon. It was a great purchase. I have the red led version(which is also better for your eyes!
Excerpt: I enjoy gaming on my computer, many days playing late into the night. I would usually turn out the light in the computer room when my wife went to bed so that it didn't shine in through the vent over the door. This however caused some problems with hitting the right keys on the keyboard. Although I use the computer a lot I am by no means a touch typist, I have to look at the keybnoard to see what I'm typing.
Excerpt: I ahve had this keyboard for almost eight years now and I still cannot stop singing its praises. The keys are very responsive (especially the jumbo sized spacebar!). But perhaps the best feature of this keyboard is its blue LED backlight. The light has three levels: High, Medium, and off which can be changed via the LED key right next to the volume control keys.
Summary: So I've been using this keyboard for over 2 years now, it's still smooth and comfortable. I bought this since I was tired of Logitech/Microsoft standard internet keyboards or w/e. Even decent wireless ones, I got sick of them and wanted something made for gaming. I found this product quite cheap on newegg so ordered it. As soon as I got it, I immediately felt it was worth the money. It's pretty heavy and sturdy, and definitely wide!
Not super bright, but a solid keyboard with some lighting

Summary: I have to agree with other reviews that state this keyboard is not very bright. It ain't, and if you need glasses in dim light the letters absolutely will not stand out. Still, it gives SOME lighting and I got it at a good discount price, so I ain't complaining too much. Better illuminated keyboards cost quite a bit more.
Summary: The keyboard itself is just what I was looking for. I like to work at night and this allows me to work with the lights out. There is just enough illumination to see all the keys and not bother me. When I ordered the keyboard it actually came in ahead of time. My only issue with the keyboard is support. I had a few problems and tried to find a manual or some sort of on-line help. I just gave up. So far, I love the keyboard and it works for me!
Summary: I got this a few months ago so I can play World of Warcraft on my laptop at home and have a numberpad and not worry about batteries. It works fine, only had 2 instances when one of the holy WASD keys got stuck down, and that was easily remedied by pushing it again. Its fine on the comfort level, the wrist rest is nifty cause you can adjust how far out it goes, from being right up next to it to where it is in the picture.
Summary: Great keyboard. I am business owner who just wanted a something a little more exciting than the typical keyboard--and it has delivered. I will likely replace all of my keyboards with this one as the need arises.
Summary: Saitek Eclipse Backlit Keyboard - Red LED ( PZ30AUR ) [NOTE: I BOUGHT THIS ON SPECIAL: -> I WRITE THIS REVIEW AS IF THE PRODUCT WERE 35$] The keyboard is awesome, PROS AND CONS: PROS: 1) Standard keyboard layout for the keys, NOT GAMING LAYOUT (some gaming keyboards line up the keys so w,a,s,d, are not off set.
Summary: I've had the blue and red for myself and prefer the red for readability. After building my mom a new computer recently, she mentioned she'd like a lighted keyboard, so she wouldn't wake up my dad by turning on a light to type when she was up late. I knew she'd be happy with this and she is. My red has some significant variation in brightness across the keyboard, but this one, through Amazon, is almost perfectly uniform.
