Summary: And now you can see it. Bought tons of these for my gaming center I used to own. Never a problem. Everyone loves them. Got one for myself and still love it. Only issue? The white on the lettering wears off eventually but low and behold, what's left in it's place? The same clear letter the lite shows through so just turn your LED on!
Excerpt: Te Saitek eclipse II is an awesome keyboard! Looks wise it is a very attractive looking keyboard and futuristic. It looks good with the lights off too! Lights come in three flavors which are blue, red and purple. I like to cycle between them depending on mood. They come very much in handy when you like to be on the computer in the dark.
I love my sleek, flashy, futuristic Saitek Eclipse 2 keyboard.

Excerpt: I do a lot of night typing and my glow in the dark keyboard stickers weren't doing it for me. I'm not a trained typist, so I need to see the letters I'm hitting. I searched everywhere for a lighted keyboard and all the favorable reviews overwhelmingly recommended the Saitek Eclipse 2. I'm so glad I decided to buy it. First of all, it's stunning. You have a glossy piano black keyboard that matches most of today's computers ,with a silver trim.
Saitek Eclipse II Keyboard (PK02U) a great addition

Excerpt: I love my Saitek Eclipse keyboard. Nices of all the features is the backlighting...thats right a backlight keyboard with full size keys! I have seen many backlit keyboards that had the low profile 'tactile' type keys. This keyboard is standard full size keys with awesome backlighting. Even better is a choice of colors for the backlight, red, violet or blue. In addition to the backlighting is a fader dial so you can adjust the brightness of the backlight or turn it...
Nice Keyboard, but the letters rub off after a year or two

Summary: I've had this keyboard for about 2 years now. The first year of using this product was nice. Having an illuminated keyboard helps when programming or using the keyboard in a dimly lit room. Being able to change the color scheme is a nice bonus as well. During the first year of usage, I'd have given this keyboard 5 stars; however, after about a year, I noticed the "A", "M" and Shift keys start to get a bit worn.
Summary: I've had this keyboard for four years now, I picked it up for $40 in 2008. Four years later, the keys are just now starting to wear out. Two years after the purchase is when the letters started to smudge off and I'm a pretty consistent WASD user, they lasted longer than I expected. If, for some reason, you absolutely need to have the letters written clearly on the keys AND you're a constant gamer, this isn't for you.
Summary: I received my new Saitek Eclipse II just a few hours ago. It is replacing a Saitek I model that I used very hard for about 7 years. I've read many, many reviews here, both the good and the bad. So I plan to be short and sweet. I love the keyboard. It types very well, at least in my opinion. As for the back lighting, the purple is the brightest, then red, then a fairly subdued blue. However, if you are typing in a very dark environment, the blue works just as well.
Summary: Bought one when they came out 4 years ago, bought another one today. Smooth typing, amazing backlight, most comfortable keyboard ever! Only negative i have, if your a hardcore gamer like i am, the laser etched keys do become dull after about 1-2 years of use. I personally didnt care, but it was time for a new one for my new setup. Trust me you guys will not go wrong with this amazing keyboard.
Summary: Great for gaming, very tight keys, keys are close together. It is not quiet like someone else said in a review. It's as noisy as a cyborg ugh. My only complaint is its a noisy keyboard. I went by reviews that it was quiet, they must be hard of hearing. Along with a naga hex it's excellent for mmo gaming. One last thing, the colors for the keyboard have to be reset everytime you reboot or turn on your pc, it does not save it, it will default to blue always.
