Summary: I love this keyboard so much. I don't know which switches I got, but the one I have isn't too loud when I type. This is the best keyboard I've owned. I've owned all top of the line keyboards including those from Razor and Logitech. This this is far better. The on-the-fly macros are amazing for MMOs and actually record the time delays. Both of the Logitech and Razor keyboards I had didn't do that.. Additionally, this is one of the most comfortable keyboards I've owned.
Pros: 1. It feels awesome to type 2. A lot of customizations 3. Thumb macros are awesome 4. On the fly macros record time delays 5. The space for your palms is comfortable.
Cons: 1. It's more expensive than most of the other keyboards 2. The software will take a lot of time to get to learn 3. The software for the keyboard isn't the best
Summary: As i tried the Roccact Kone XTD mouse i decided to give there first Mechanical board a try and am not disappointed at all. The software comes packed with dozens of customizable options, Sweet built-in features, and a solid upgrade to mechanical keyswitches with individual backlighting.. Overall this is a great keyboard for those looking for a reliable keyboard!
Pros: Mechanical board with multi colored switches to choose from.. Backlit keys for those who play in the dark ( with manual key sets to which keys illuminate) Built in USB and Audio pass through connection right on the board Roccat software allows huge modifications and macros at your disposal
Cons: For those looking for multu color backlit it only comes in Blue.. But hey Roccat blue is great!! Wrist rest can't be removed. For some may be an issue I prefer it.
Summary: I've been using it for over a month now and love it. Honestly, the only reason I got this one and not the Ryos glow, was because t he glow didn't come with cherry blue keys. However, this keyboard really does feel top notch. I've only played WoW on it so far, but it feels great.
Pros: -Solid -Brightness levels -Roccat talk is awesome! -Thumb keys
Summary: great keyboard, buttnRoccat needs to get on their customer service game...
Pros: Incredibly sturdy, well built, more than comfortable. Best keyboard I have ever owned.
Cons: Like everyone else is saying, I had one LED go out in the first year.... But in the last 6 months, i have had 8 keys die. Not a huge deal to me. BUT THE THING THAT REALLY MAKES ME WANT TO POUR TOBASCO IN MY URETHRA. the cables.... If my foot so much as nips the strong coaxial cable, the keyboard will shut off and re plug itself. I have had many many issues even when I wasnt touching the cable.
Pros: This Keyboard is a tough one.... for a gamer who every now and then may get a bit angry, pounding on this key board has proved to me that its build to take a beating. great design i love how you can choose the key press you want either being very clicky or not clicky at all.
Cons: My only issue is that i wish this keyboard was able to support RGB Color. Blue is nice but more color would be even better.
Summary: 1 yr later, Build quality is excellent, no palm rest- wear , no wear at all visibly, "wasd" keys definitely been thoroughly broken in, (3m keystrokes w&s a&d closer to 5m) springs don't feel any looser than the other keys averaging 200-500k. the roccat media software that came with this is also wonderful, lets you control computer remotely to a surprising extent from a phone or tablet WITHOUT tabbing out of applications.
Summary: Not worth the money - Should have just gone with what I know.
Pros: Build quality is solid. Design is well thought out. Liked the cable channels, layout, etc.
Cons: DRIVERS. NOT COMPATIBLE with Windows 8.1 -They state it will work with Windows 8 on their site, which it does, however there are numerous issues with 8.1. Drivers would not even load and, although keyboard will function, no lighting, macro or special function keys work. Reached out to Roccat customer service, they responded, but just asked if it was plugged in. :-)
Summary: I WOULD NOT recommend spending your money on this product. There are still certain aspects of it that seem to be built well, but what is the main hype about this keyboard other than it being mechanical? The per key illumination. If you want a nice LED keyboard I would recommend the Razer Chroma that is coming out soon and is the same price. And it has many color options as opposed to being stuck with Roccat's blue.
Summary: I bought this keyboard back in July. By October, the first LED went out. More started to fail. I've contacted Roccat and they have not even answered me, let alone done anything about it. I now have a total of 36 LEDs that have completely failed (actually two of those are weak and about to fail). Many other people are having this issue and even when they get replacement keyboards the same thing happens. I would NOT recommend spending your money on this keyboard.
