HUGE Dissapointment!

Linda, Mwave.com
7 March 2011
  • Summary: Buyer BEWARE...
  • Pros: Beautiful design, fantastic key response and cool packaging, BUT...
  • Cons: This board has major electronic flaws. The electronic touch pad located in the upper right corner of the board, which controls several major functions, is known to activate on its own. Also, during gameplay, the Windows Media player opens automatically, thus closing out the game youre in. Another killer is that the keys soon become unresponsive. These are just a few major flaws that Razer is aware of, yet has not addressed. Poor warranty and service from Razer. Also, t...

"An Attractive Waste of Money"

casey115, CNET
14 January 2011
  • Pros: Very sleek design with fairly effective backlighting.
  • Cons: Unreadable even in a brightly lit room unless backlight is on. Cheap feeling tactile keypress and loose keys. Worst is the random failure of keys.

"Terrible and dies fast."

AburameChan, CNET
16 November 2010
  • Pros: Beautiful back-lighting and sleek design.
  • Cons: This item was put together VERY poorly. I am on my THIRD one after buying the first four months ago. The problem is with the hardware; the letters randomly stop working due to being cheaply put together.

Poorly constructed and bad Razer customer service

Jakeblack, epinions.com
20 March 2010
  • Summary: Looks great, but is not well made; broke after 2 weeks normal use. Razer is totally useless in living up to warranty support. I DO NOT recommend buying this product.
  • Pros: Very cool/techno look, nice backlighting, programmable
  • Cons: Not well made. Razer customer support is horrible.

"TERRIBLE! Unless you want to make you comp unusable..."

bulldog8448, CNET
30 January 2010
  • Pros: Lighted display is nice.... For the 5 seconds that it works Port is useful. But there are cheap USB port extenders out there.
  • Cons: Hmmm... one con is... Oh yea, IT DOESN'T WORK. Buttons seem to be either to loose, to spaced, or to flat. Eitherway it just doesnt feel right. The buttons can be shifted back and forth like they are just setting there Not worth its money.

"The box is a better keyboard than the contents"

erictoni, CNET
27 August 2009
  • Pros: It looks nice, however, like a hot rod with a VW engine, it is stops at the looks.
  • Cons: The keyboards are garbage, touted as a gamers keyboard, yet you couldn't bet your electronic life on it - at all. The keyboard are best left in the box where they can look slick, and not do any significant amounts of damage on their own.

"Not worth the high price"

kinrossian, CNET
25 April 2009
  • Pros: Rubberised keys, Sound and USB ports
  • Cons: Rubberised paint comes off after a few months of use. Hard to see the light behind the keys - day or night. Software is abysmal.

"POOR QUALITY AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND A WASTE OF MONEY"

rxsxix53, CNET
13 January 2009
  • Pros: Liked the backlighting of the keys.
  • Cons: Poor craftsmanship, poor quality. Technical support gave me the run around. I found other information on the web concerning the Lycosa Razer and it's problems. Lycosa wants you to jump thru hopps just to have the keyboard repaired or replaced.
