Decent Keyboard

Alejandro L., Newegg
15 June 2015
  • Summary: I hadn't noticed that this keyboard's function keys were moved to the right more until after I had purchased it. Had I seen that I would have picked a different one(I'm the only one to fault for that), but after it had been shipped to my home I decided to try it out and see how it felt and I was...
  • Pros: This is a solid keyboard that feels good to use. The lights can be dimmed or brightened up after you download their Razer Synapse program which works in conjunction with any other Razer products that you have hooked up.
  • Cons: Unfortunate placement of the function keys as they are offset by just over one and a half keys. Those keys are crucial for some keybinds and you effectively lose an entire key for that.

A great all around keyboard

RHICTKY, B&H Photo
17 May 2015
  • Excerpt: I mostly use this keyboard for gaming and it does a bang up job. Keys feel fantastic and the shift function are mostly easy to read. Pros: -Clicky keys -Programmable macros -USB pass though Cons: -Not backlit, can be hard to see in the dark. -Macro don't work without the Synapse software.
  • Pros: Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use

Nice keyboard for price. Fix of repeat delay may be requried.

Vincenzo F., Newegg
4 May 2015
  • Summary: I should have learned that buying a gaming keyboard would have short repeat delay by default!
  • Pros: Compact design. Good quality for price.
  • Cons: Key labels are OK, but highly stylized, e.g. the & (ampersand) and @ (at sign) is ugly IMO. Repeat delay is way to short for casual typing. Unless you are a very quick typist, performing simple key combos, such as Ctrl-C, is troublesome, as keyboard will begin repeating Ctrl until you press C. Fo...

RAZER Mechanical Gameing Keyboard

HERMO L., Newegg
3 April 2015
  • Summary: Its a very responsive keyboard. The lack of numberpad lets your hands stay closer together increasing comfort while gaming. The only issue I have with it is that you can feel the letters under your finger tips! It drives me crazy!
  • Pros: Small, Responsive, Braided cable.
  • Cons: Little stickers for the keys.

Love this keyboard

Crystal S., Newegg
14 March 2015
  • Pros: I love almost everything about this keyboard. I love the feel and sound of the keys. I love the built in ports. I love the extra macro keys.
  • Cons: My only complaint is the location of the built-in ports. Since they are on the right side of the keyboard, when I have anything plugged in to either of them, the plugs are somewhat in the way of my mouse and I have to wrap the cord around to the other side to be out of the way. I think the ports ...

Clicky Clicky

Raymond P., Newegg
11 February 2015
  • Summary: when I input numbers outside of gaming it would be nice to have a number pad. This wasn't a deal breaker hence why I purchased anyway but that is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.
  • Pros: Fast and responsive Nice key feel No slip pads on the bottom are a nice touch Solid construction, it feels like I could drop it and it would still live
  • Cons: Loud, I should have read a little more and would have found that it is a "clicky" keyboard. Though I did get used to it if you have a computer in a shared room you'll want something quieter.

Good but there are better options

Partho G., Newegg
5 February 2015
  • Summary: I got this keyboard for $40 on sale, which is what made it worth it. However, considering there are much better keyboards out there for just a little more price-wise, I cannot recommend this keyboard for 65+ dollars.
  • Pros: Value - good value considering the switches are a cherry mx blue ripoff. Tactile feedback - much better than non-mechanical keyboards, though doesn't compare to the better keyboards out there.
  • Cons: Uneven tactile feedback - depending on the key you click, you'll have to apply different amount of pressure and that results in a non-smooth typing experience.

Good Keyboard, some small issues

Russell G., Newegg
7 January 2015
  • Summary: Razer has a really good product here and I would recommend it. It does have some small issues but that doesn't stop me from recommending it to potential buyers. At $100 or less, this is a good value keyboard.
  • Pros: Price when on sale - Chroma model overpriced at the moment Backlighting is dimmable USB passthrough for mouse Matte finish doesn't show fingerprints Software is easy to use
  • Cons: You cannot turn off backlighting for individual keys, it's either all on or all off. Headphone pass through emits a constant buzzing sound when no sound being played. Not noticeable while gaming though. Mouse plugged into USB passthrough will randomly stop working; need to unplug and plug back in...

Bad luck, getting one DOA. Blame the weather.

Zachery S., Newegg
6 January 2015
  • Summary: If it wasn't on sale for the price it was at, I probably would have never bought this keyboard. Mine was dying as the keyboard had more than lived its 10 million key press life span, so I needed a replacement.
  • Pros: While I have had this for a while now, it was a rough waiting process. After having a DOA I finally got my replacement one and it works as I expected. This is a Keyboard so there won't be too much to say. 1.Dimmable Green backlight 2.Software features are virtually top of all others 3.Mechanical ...
  • Cons: I found a lot of things I really disliked about this product, mainly these are personal based, but some of these I feel should have been obvious to have included.. 1.Not all keys are fully backlit, if you're trying yo see !@#$%^ or :"{}?>< in the dark forget it... You have to know these by heart ...

Writing This Review With The Blackwidow Tournament

Thaison N., Newegg
23 December 2014
  • Summary: I pressed the right arrow key without looking at the keyboard thinking it was the enter on the number pad. xD
  • Pros: Came in a ridiculously huge box compared to the actual size of the keyboard itself. The exterior of the big box itself was a little roughed up but inside contained a lot of air cushions which surrounded the actual Razor box itself in the corner. The keyboard itself has no blemishes. I tested ever...
  • Cons: Even though every key works and has the click, the "F" key feels very weak compared to the others.
