Summary: great keyboard i love the feel of the cherry blue switches even though their loud and clicky but i like that so it doesn't bother me. only problem i have with this keyboard is the wire coming out of it tends to go bad. and i wish their where more colors to choose for the backlight besides green. so i'm glad i found a old one in really good shape that had the blue back lit keys.
Excerpt: I got the Mac version of the normal BlackWidow. It's a mechanical keyboard with Cherry Blue switches, so you should have done your research on those, but if you didn't be sure for a surprise. These keys are very tactile and make a very loud click sound when you type on them. I'm surprised Razer...
Summary: I had this keyboard for exactly three months and loved it until one day the space bar randomly stopped working. I took the button of but the switch underneath is actually broken. I loved this keyboard and never dropped it or spilled anything on it. It's insane that a seventy dollar keyboard stops working so soon. Very upset. EDIT: I called customer service and they told me to uninstall and reinstall the drivers. After doing so my space bar works again.
Excerpt: I bought this as a secondary mechanical keyboard. I already have two Das Keyboard Model S Professional Silent keyboards. While the Das keyboard is $135, this Razer keyboard is only $80. It's probably the biggest benefit for it. Since it's not the "Ultimate" version, you don't get the USB hub, the...
Excerpt: As stated in the title, the Razer Blackwidow is my first mechanical keyboard and I am using it to type this review at the moment. Let me tell you something, I don't think I will ever go back to membrane keyboards again. If you don't know the difference between a membrane keyboard and a mechanical, you can quickly google that before continuing on in this review if you are interested.
Excerpt: I bought one of these for $45 on sale a few months back. It's fairly heavy for a keyboard but feels really solid. the bezel around all the keys is a fingerprint magnet though. Although i wish i had bought the ultimate for the USB ports and back lighting. it wasn't in my price range at the time. So i bought this and havent regretted it since.
Summary: [Summary] In my opinion, this is a great keyboard. It is sturdy and dependable. Although it may just be a placebo effect, I find myself typing much faster with this keyboard. I normally get 80WPM, but I got 110WPM on this keyboard. However, some will feel different about it. If you are a potential buyer, please do some research on the keyboard.
Summary: I am a graduate student who types at least half a dozen papers a week. Typing on a comfortable keyboard is a necessity! I have always been a Razer fan and despite hearing bad reviews about the Arctosa and Lycosa, I thought I would purchase a keyboard from them. I decided on the Blackwidow because of the positive reviews for most mechanical keyboards.
