Pros: I did not purchase mine through newegg (from retail box store). Sorry Newegg, it was on sale and just too good of a deal to pass up. I've had good luck with mine (range), and in general, have been happy with any MS hardware purchase.
Cons: What I wanted to point out, is while I was looking over these reviews, it just occurred to me that this is the first one where the bad reviews did not have a response from the manufacturer. LOL, Microsoft! Just what you'd expect from them.
Summary: Pros: + Easy to use + Compatible with both PC and Mac + Battery life. I went on for 2 months before I had to replace and I'm a heavy computer user + Great range. About 3 1/2 feet max works for me + Unbeatable price.
Summary: The title adequately describes my overall review. I have an older version of a Microsoft executive desktop with a similar design that I have used for five years. It has a couple more features. I was looking for an inexpensive option for another home PC, and this has met my need.
Summary: i would have given this set 5 eggs had it included the correct working software. i am going to try to find some new stuff software or drivers online, and maybe it will help.
Pros: the key board and mouse are very nice, great price, range is good.
Cons: the software keeps having problems - whenever the mouse sits for like 5 minutes is says that the batteries are low, but if you open the menu it says that the batteries are full. - the mouse is a optical wireless 1000, as it says in the title, but the software included didn't have that as an optio...
Summary: Just bought my 4th one: Home computer, Kid's computer, Mother-In-Law's computer, Work Computer
Pros: Work like it's supposed to, and has a good selection of extra keys. I like the sleep key. Shuts system down in about 5 seconds, and it wakes up in about 10 seconds. A real time saver. Batteries last a long time.
Cons: Sometimes a little fussy about where you place the receiver, but mostly when the batteries are getting low.
Summary: We got this product to use on our computer that is hooked up to a television screen. It works well but has only about a 6ft range. That was disappointing because it doesn't reach across our living room, and the fact we have to sit really close to the screen.
Summary: Keyboard is fine for light to moderate general purpose work [word processing, email, server terminal, etc.].
Pros: I wouldnt rely too much on it for heavy duty work [it doesnt seem like it was designed for heavy work anyway]. I havent really tested the rangeit works fine within a few feet of the XP Pro-based workstation that I use for testing and development. Im satisfied with the keyboard.
