Summary: I ordered this keyboard expecting the same unit I have on another desktop in the house, that Microsoft keyboard of the same model had a wireless USB transmitter where this one has that wired controller that must be up on your desk somewhere. Not sure exactly how I got wrong product but overall this one is much better than original unit that came with desktop.
Pros: Durable, Easy Connectivity, Ergonomic, Fast Connection, Versatile
Pros: Good wireless functionality - no connectivity issues. Worked without any software installs, although I haven't tried configuring the special buttons. Standard layout (save function keys) Nice soft keys for depressing. Smooth spinning mouse wheel
Cons: The mouse doesn't roll easily, making it difficult to roll small distances. Impossible to move cursor 10 pixels in any direction without rolling too far. Keyboard extends too far below keys (wrist support?) Difficult to store in keyboard tray.
It's ok, but I'll stick to Logitech next time thanks

Summary: It was a sad day when my old reliable Logitech keyboard finally gave up the ghost. So sad that I thought I'd treat myself to a decent replacement. Now I've got a fancy Logitech mouse, so once I got this product home I pretty much disgarded the slightly tacky and cheap feeling mouse that microsoft provided. Therefore I will just review the keyboard. The keyboard is very nicely shaped, and definitely was designed with ergonomics in mind.
Pros: Loads of buttons that you'll never use, good battery life, comfortable keyboard
Cons: Half the time the buttons need to be pressed harder than expected, annoying F lock thingy
Summary: Great for average user. As a gamer I found the responsiveness of both the keyboard and mouse to be pretty average.
Pros: Keyboard is ridiculously comfortable and has plenty of custom keys. Software works well, beats Logitech back to Sweden on this front. Laser speed is fantastic. Side-scrolling is great.
Cons: Mouse ergonomics makes use of 4th and 5th buttons inconvenient to the point where it defeats the purpose of having those extra buttons. Responsiveness isn't up to gaming grade. Most people who use my PC don't like the speed of the laser...kinda defeats its purpose. I love it though.
