Work great!

Michael K., Newegg
30 July 2013
  • Summary: We used to use these with our iPads and they worked great, but now we use the Logitech 920-004013 Ultrathin Keyboard Cover which is much smaller and attaches to the iPad.
  • Pros: Size, functionality
  • Cons: Price

User Review

Simon T., Newegg

  • Summary: Also if you're having connect issues initially, try "reconnecting" them by pressing the button on the bottom of the keyboard and dongle. MS may not make the best or intuitive wireless, but they do have great key feel and design.
  • Pros: Its great keyboard for me. The feel of the keys and slight bend are what keeps me going back to this keyboard. I initially bought one for home, then a couple years later, bought one for work.
  • Cons: It does have that wireless connect issue with drop signal and delays initially. Turns out, the dongle doesn't like being plugged in right next to my mouse dongle. Must be causing some interference. So moving the mouse dongle to the front panel instead fixed the issue.

Compact and wireless

Grady I., Newegg

  • Summary: Didn't work with my Android phone. Also, due to bluetooth only, it's not recognized by the bios, so you'll have to use another keyboard to setup a new computer. I'd like an optional USB port/cable for that purpose.
  • Pros: Compact Quiet (except for the space key) Ergonomic
  • Cons: Limited tilt range

Great for Slates

Anonymous, Newegg
2 April 2012
  • Summary: I bought this for use with my slate and it is a perfect fit for it. I'm not sure I would use this keyboard for anything else, though due to the 'sleepiness' of the bluetooth functionality. The arrow keys are also hard to hit as they are really slender.
  • Pros: This little keyboard is great for slates, or laptops with really small keyboards as it gives greater comfort and control. Also really great for use in a home theatre situation with a media center pc.
  • Cons: Price is a little high for what you get in my opinion. For a few dollars LESS, you can get a full on Microsoft Natural keyboard with more keys and functionality. The fact that it's bluetooth also creates 'sleep' problems.

Nice and compact

Eric E., Newegg
10 February 2012
  • Summary: Like I stated earlier, my Asus EP-121 came with this keyboard and it failed in less than a year.. I admint I was tough on it though. I actually did get yogurt on it (Don't ask :)), so I am not blaming the keyboard. I will see how this one lasts in the long term...
  • Pros: Bought this to replace my ASUS EP-121's keyboard which failed after less than a year. Its the same keyboard, only re-branded for ASUS Works great and pairs easily. Battery consumption is great ... The batteries last for months, even when left on for days. The keys have decent travel and a firm "c...

Good Keyboard for Work

Oleg F., Newegg
28 January 2012
  • Summary: Overall, this is an excellent keyboard for an office setting. Typing for extended periods of time is extremely comfortable, the product is high-quality and has a clean, professional appearance. People who game regularly (especially those who do so in the dark) may want to look elsewhere.
  • Pros: This keyboard is extremely comfortable. While it doesn't have the padded palm rest of its predecessor, the v2, the rubberized surface is still quite pleasant to type on. The product feels to be of medium-high quality overall - they keyboard is light and flexes slightly, but the fit and finish are...
  • Cons: - The spacebar clicks loudly for some reason when depressed on the right side only. Strange, but certainly not the end of the world. - The F keys. I hate that more and more keyboards are trying to replace the F keys with useless functions. The actual F# labels are written in white on the light gr...

nice but imperfect keyboard

john h., Newegg

  • Summary: Despite the flaws, this is my current favorite keyboard-- I like Microsoft's low-profile curved-layout keyboards. I actually have the original model with separate numeric keyboard, which I never use; I think this model is a better deal.
  • Pros: Small, lightweight, ergonomic layout, good keyboard feel. Works with iPhone, OS X Lion and Ubuntu 10.04. I've never used these keyboards with Windows so I can't comment on that. Good basic QWERTY layout. Battery life is pretty good. If you're looking for an ergonomic keyboard that doesn't make yo...
  • Cons: I have long lag and lost keystrokes on wakeup from sleep with OS X and Ubuntu 10.04 and 11.10. It's rather annoying. I have to keep whacking a key for several seconds until I see that it's woken up. The Bluetooth touchpad I have is a very noticeable contrast, its wakeup is almost imperceptible. I...

  • Summary: great keyboard, just wish it had better range.
  • Pros: wireless, great media control buttons on top, ergonomic.
  • Cons: wireless sometimes cuts out and leaves me stranded while gaming. i only have it about 5 feet from my computer, but occasionally while gaming it stops working.

Nice Hardware, Bluetooth Troubles

Julien B., Newegg
20 August 2011
  • Summary: Not all of the buttons are the same size, like most keyboards, so it might not work for some people's typing style
  • Pros: I love the feel of the keyboard. I have a Thinkpad laptop and a Microsoft Digital media pro keyboard, and this one is as good as both of them. It's a very attractive unit, and the key response is very nice. It feels solid and well made.
  • Cons: My guess is that the bluetooth on this keyboard is just like other bluetooth keyboards, but I have trouble getting it to automatically connect. I pair it with my desktop (which is easy), and it installs the drivers and starts working, but when i turn off the keyboard to save power, it seems to "f...

Decent Keyboard

Joshua N., Newegg
21 July 2011
  • Summary: The shape and feel of this keyboard is very nice - sorta laptop-like keys - but great for gaming too. I just set up an htpc in my living room for gaming and this works perfectly. Love the small size.
  • Pros: Small, light, affordable, great range.
  • Cons: Does not come with a bluetooth dongle; as with typical microsoft hardware, the backspace button is, for lack of a better term, messed up. I have a MS 7000 keyboard that has a couple of buttons that don't work either. This button still works, but sticks when trying to press it.
