OK Keyboard

George S., Newegg
17 November 2011
  • Summary: To me the above con's don't matter. However is someone put a keyboard without the con's in front of me I would probably choose it over this one.
  • Pros: I bought this keyboard about 6 months ago. It's easy to use and stylish.
  • Cons: The Function keys are not marked instead, the markings appear in white lettering on gray background above the keys. They are hard to read. No lights to indicate num-lock or caps-lock are on/off, but there is a short screen display when you turn them on/off. I put the USB connection in the back of...

Save your box - Just in case

George J., Newegg

  • Summary: My experience is that the keyboard will work just fine most of the time and when it starts acting weird, I just go through the above steps and it seems to go back to normal. I am using a 3.0 Cirago Bluetooth adapter.
  • Pros: I wrote a glowing report on this keyboard a few days ago and this is a follow up with what I hope will be a few useful tips if you have Bluetooth issues. I should have waited before submitting such a positive review. I still like the keyboard for the reasons mentioned but I am having spotty Bluet...
  • Cons: Issue one: You need to download the newest Bluetooth driver if you are using Windows 7. An alternative to a driver download directly from Microsoft is from the http://www.broadcom.com/support/bluetooth/update.php site. I used the Microsoft download page but I read that the Broadcom site works. It...

Click Lag?

Dennis B., Newegg
18 May 2011
  • Summary: Not a bad device at all. Some day, I may find some use for it.
  • Pros: Wireless. Light. Can be off your desk whenever.
  • Cons: Since the Key lag only occurred once, I can attribute that to a system communication thing. IF you are gaming, the key configuration is likely no good if you are used to a standard key layout. I've mastered laptop keyboards with ease, but I couldn't get adjusted to this things keys at all.

It ain't too bad

Don J., Newegg
4 May 2011
  • Summary: This is not a good keyboard if you use the keyboard a lot for various functions. This is especially true if you use the function keys for various apps and functions. This is due to how the function keys are set up, which are spread out and not grouped together like other traditional keyboards are...
  • Pros: wireless, soft keys
  • Cons: weird limited range, function keys not grouped

Meh

Hiroyuki N., Newegg

  • Summary: Not a bad keyboard, I would not recommend (as always) wireless for gaming, but this is good for enjoying something on netflix with the family/
  • Pros: Plug and play with my Win7 PC, no drivers needed installed. I love all the extra buttons, and it has everything labeled properly.
  • Cons: Sometimes will not respond even within 3 feet of the adapter. You will be typing something and it will just cut out, so you have chunks that you have to go back and fill in

Non-standard function keys

Eric H., Newegg
27 February 2011
  • Pros: Good feel on full size keys, nice and quiet. Once I acquired working drivers for win-7 64-bit, the extra function keys worked perfectly.
  • Cons: ESC and F1-F12 keys not being full-size and being evenly spaced rather than clusters of 4 is driving my muscle-memory crazy. For anyone used to touch-typing, you'll be having to look at those keys for a while. The keyboard was having response issues when the USB receiver was 4 feet from the keybo...

There are better choices

Raymond A., Newegg
29 November 2010
  • Summary: The cheapo Microsoft 2000 keyboard has a better feel though it is shoddily built. I go through one every 4-6 months or so. But they're cheap.
  • Pros: Comfortable alphanumeric keys. Reliable. I haven't found any of the connectivity problems others have complained about.
  • Cons: For some reason MS uses tiny Esc and Function keys that are maybe 1/3 to 1/2 the size of normal keys. The small Esc key is especially annoying. The Function keys don't work in the normal way but you have to use this absurd "F Lock" key to make them work. There's plenty of room for full sized Esc ...

Good when it works

Anonymous, Newegg
27 June 2009
  • Summary: In XP SP2, the cons that I experienced were less. In Vista Home Premium SP2 (both operating systems are 32-bit), I experienced these problems more. They would lessen when the IntelliType software was installed, but that software caused problems with my audio editing software, Nuendo 2.
  • Pros: The comfort and feel this keyboard are great. The keys are virtually silent, and the keyboard itself has an almost laptop feel. The keys are very easy to press.
  • Cons: This keyboard would lose synchronization with my computer at random times. I've read other reviews which state the same problems. Also, when you're typing sometimes, yooouuurr letters will sometimes dddddoooooo thisssss.

User Review

  • Summary: Battery seems to last a while, seems over 2 months with these batterys on a 24/7 computer with Lots of usage and typing. Keyboard only has 1 Windows key, left one, other key is changed to a window selection key.
  • Pros: Comfortable, quite. I had the wave keyboard which died before I got this one, and it was almost a perfect change. Some shortcut keys in great positions. F keys able to be reached easily. Wireless woks normally without problems and across my room easily.
  • Cons: Wireless does not always work, very frustrating. Sometimes it lags behind, sometimes it will add double letters, or skip letters. Does not happen all the time, but every couple days, or sometimes every night very late in the morning. Not all keys are customizable either, some I hoped to change do...
