I received a used one.

Dustin C., Newegg
21 April 2009
  • Pros: It works just like I wanted it to. It was an easy install in Vista but...
  • Cons: I received a used product. I could tell because it had scratches on the battery covers. The documentation was torn. The two batteries for the keyboard were missing. I am giving this one egg because it was sold as new and not listed as refurbished, only oem. I don't mind buying a refurb but I like...

Ripoff

Joshua G., Newegg
29 January 2009
  • Summary: After having to RMA one wireless combo because it wasn't working at the specified range(4ft), I ordered this. Seemed pretty straight-forward. Waste of time and money. Extremely disappointed with Newegg for advertising this product which obviously will not work with most computers.
  • Pros: Looks nice, light and small. Would be great for HTPC...
  • Cons: No receiver. No software. Seemed like I received an open box item. Bottom of keyboard is scratched up and the tape is different. Also missing 4 batteries that were supposed to be included according to the paperwork.

Also Missing Blue tooth dongle

Sean M., Newegg
21 January 2009
  • Summary: Calling the support staff is not very helpful. While courtieous, they did not seem to fully comprehend the problem. After describing the issue in detail, they did attempt to contact the warehouse and have just the missing piece shipped, however the warehouse had none on hand.
  • Pros: Unable to give opinion as item comes Unusable
  • Cons: Missing Blue tooth adapter dongle. Keyboard and mouse come un-usable out of box. When item(s) first arrived, I figured an oversite on microsoft's warehouse packaging and piece was simply missing. RMA'd product received new , however blue tooth dongle is missing yet again. I see many other reviewe...

No Bluetooth Adapter...AGAIN!!

Son N., Newegg
20 January 2009
  • Summary: Buy at your own risk. I've purchased many items from Newegg and the service has always been top notch. This is the only problem I've had and it's very disappointing.
  • Pros: N/A (missing bluetooth adapter so can't use)
  • Cons: I just received my replacement of the same keyboard/mouse only to discover this one is ALSO missing the bluetooth adapter. Newegg has been kind enough to replace the first one at no cost to me but now I'm starting to get aggravated. I also noticed same of the keys are deeply scratched probably fr...

No Dongle, DO NOT BUY!

Jacob C., Newegg
17 January 2009
  • Summary: Why sell a keyboard that won't work?! Do not buy this product, it will cost you extra money to repeatedly ship it back to Newegg so they can send you additional non-functioning keyboards, or you will have to buy a Bluetooth dongle!
  • Pros: Good loooking keyboard and mouse. Would have been great if it worked.
  • Cons: Received 1st unit on 1/04/2009 opened up packaging and found the keyboard and mouse, but no software disk and no bluetooth dongle. I requested a RMA with the reason of DOA without a bluetooth adaptor the product would not function. Shipped the keyboard back on 1/5/2009. Replacement was received o...

Crippled product

JAMES B., Newegg
15 January 2009
  • Summary: I also got hit for shipping of 9.39 for the original product 6.12 to return it for replacement an additional 7.24 for the useless replacement another 6.12 to return that. and i'm sure that a 20% fee will be added when I return the 2nd unit for a total out of pocket of $46.86 with nothing to show for...
  • Pros: Good loooking keyboard and mouse. Would have suited my needs for my HTPC setup perfectly.
  • Cons: Received 1st unit on 1/05/2009 opened up packaging and found a used keyboard with many scratches on back of unit, loose items packed in box, a software disk (unexpected as per prior reviews) and no bluetooth dongle. I requested a RMA with the reason of DOA without a bluetooth adaptor the product ...

No Bluetooth adapter also

Fred S., Newegg
13 January 2009
  • Pros: None so far.
  • Cons: Mine also showed up at my brother's...as I had it shipped there as a present....with NO Bluetooth adapter. AS it clearly shows in the photo here. Since when I bought it...the shipping was not free, and I gave my brother one of my adapters....I could have bought it here in town retail cheaper. I h...

Read B4 you buy MS desktop sets

Jennifer S., Newegg
14 April 2008
  • Summary: I am still a fan of wireless desktop sets, but I will NEVER buy one made by MICROSOFT AGAIN. Spending over $129 on an item and having the manufacturer replace it with an item that sells for less than half that is in my opinion criminal.
  • Pros: This is a GREAT Desktop Set. As long as it worked I was very satisfied with it.
  • Cons: The problem is that when it quit working Microsoft replaced it with a Laser Desktop 6000 set which is selling for less than $50. Even though I complained they would not replace it with anything else and when I got it it did not work nearly as well as what I had, it always misses the first few key...

Terrible Keyboard - read why...

Anonymous, Newegg
3 June 2007
  • Summary: If MS had made the top "touch sensitive" keys normal keys this keyboard would be perfect, but the touch sensitive keys ruin the keyboard completely. I've actually gotten rid of mine and gone back to the 6000.
  • Pros: The keys are excellent; smooth and silent.
  • Cons: The "touch sensitive" function keys at the top are the WORST design yet. If any of your fingers accidentally wander close to them, they will go off, resulting in problems while using Windows, Office, etc. I tried this keyboard for well over a month and still had issues with the function keys goin...

Hope you have better luck.....

Michael D., Newegg
14 April 2007
  • Summary: Hey Bill: Why don't you give my daughter trips to all the places she had photos of (now lost)from her previous trips-I could never afford to send her back, but you could....or stop producing such garbage!!!!!
  • Pros: Very nice finish, and a very quiet typing keyboard.
  • Cons: Where do I start Bill? Certainly a Microsoft product would work well with other Microsoft products, right? I attched the keyboard and things were fine, but then I followed the directions and attempted to load the software (My 15 year old son said not to.)10seconds into the software install I get ...
