Microsoft Wireless Desktop 5000 Review

Digitaltrends
30 May 2012
  • Conclusion: The Wireless Comfort 5000 Desktop largely lives up to its promise. The keyboard and mouse are very comfortable to use, and the keyboard provides plenty of one-touch functions for managing your applications. It’s not equipped with informative LEDs, nor does it have convenient features such as audio jacks or a USB hub; but you’re just not going to find such things on a wireless setup.
  • Pros: Very good tactile feedback, Comfortable, Lots of programmable buttons
  • Cons: Oversized USB dongle, Too-small Function keys, No index option for mouse scroll wheel

Microsoft Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000 Review

HardwareCentral
3 September 2009
  • Conclusion: Besides the main left and right buttons and click wheel, there are two side buttons, one per side, well positioned for a click or slight squeeze by thumb and ring finger, respectively. By default, these are for Back and Forward navigation in a browser, though Microsoft's driver lets you reassign them to one of some three dozen common functions or to a macro or application launch of your choice.

  • Summary: Like fish & chips, bread & butter or UK Bank Holidays and their associated rain and traffic jams, the keyboard and mouse go together hand-in-hand.

Expert Review

PC Advisor
20 November 2009
  • Excerpt: The Microsoft Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000 keyboard and mouse both look smart and have a reassuring level of build quality. Both components are surprisingly heavy, so don't buy these if you need something portable. But the weight gives them a solidity (and, in the case of the keyboard, good stability) that we appreciated.

Ergonomisk Windows 7-tastatur

komputer.no
25 May 2011
  • Pros: Ergonomisk, Gode hurtigtaster, Windows 7-funksjoner, Mange innstillinger
  • Cons: Mus mangler funksjoner
