User Review

RAMON C., Newegg
16 January 2015
  • Summary: Wish they made this model a wireless version.
  • Pros: Great feel and durability even after several years of daily use at work, no issues at this point. Definitely a solid keyboard.
  • Cons: N/A

Best Ergonomic Keybord for TYPISTS!!

Rando, Amazon
9 July 2013
  • Summary: I've been in the computer industry for over 25+ years and I started using THIS version Microsoft ergonomic keyboard over ten years ago. Most people hate them at first: BUT, if you stick with it and us proper typing methods you'll double or tripple your typing speed. VERY, very heavy duty built.

Once you go ergo, you will never look back

Prescott, Amazon

  • Summary: Yes there is a learning curve. Yes it takes desk space. Yes it looks weird but after using this flavor MS keyboard honestly you can't live without it. When I go to user's desks and they have an old-school rectangle board I cringe. I have used this model of keyboard for 11-12 years.

my standard kb

mark k., Newegg
1 July 2012
  • Summary: I have used this model for going on 10 years. I ordered and bought a new one from newegg about 1 yr ago. The best keyboard for long term typing. Also the best keyboard for big sausage fingered relatives.
  • Pros: big, comfy, easy on the ole carple tunnel, less wrist pain after long typing sessions.
  • Cons: big: not gonna fit in a student sized keyboard tray. comes in white...and ...white.

Excellent Keyboard

Logan T., Newegg
23 June 2012
  • Summary: This was my first ergonomic keyboard. When I first got it I thought I may have made a mistake due to the difficulty adapting to the design. However, once adapted I couldn't stand standard keyboards and realized how terrible they are on your wrists.
  • Pros: Very durable. Spill proof. Very comfortable.
  • Cons: Perhaps it would be nice to have the palm pad removable for some people? But I've always enjoyed it... Only an issue if you don't like palm pads. Not wireless (this also isn't an issue for me but if you require a wireless keyboard this one doesn't have that option) Once you get used to typing on ...

Good design

Simon R., Newegg
11 June 2012
  • Pros: Keeps you wrists and arms at a comfortable angle; essential if you spend a long time in fromt of the keyboard. I've had this keyboad since 2007 and another before that which I bought in 2002. I wouldn't use anyting else.
  • Cons: One of the feet broke a few weeks ago - not bad for 5 years .

Classics never die!

Refugio Q., Newegg
23 March 2012
  • Summary: Built sturdy, great for overall use.
  • Pros: I love the natural feel. The buttons are a bit rough on striking down. I dont think its ideal for those who are looking for low profile buttons for quick typing. I still average ~90+ wpm. I use it for college stuff plus some gaming.
  • Cons: Arrow keys are different than what i'm used to, not like i use them much. But, the down arrow isn't between the left and right. Again, not a big deal, hardly use it, just something that I'm not used to.

I echo Bill in Kansas's comments

Jeff J., Newegg
20 March 2012
  • Pros: I own 3 of these keyboards and I plan on purchasing more as soon as I can. They are, hands down, without doubt, the best keyboard ever made. Mine has survived for at least 8 years and two tours to Iraq. Sand, hair, dust...this thing just keeps going. Very easy to clean. I have hooked my wife on i...
  • Cons: Not really a con, but all of the ones I own are PS/2 connectors. They come with a PS/2 to USB adapter, so it's no big deal...but a pure USB keyboard would be nice so I don't have to carry the adapter when I use this with my laptop (yes...I love it so much I carry it with my laptop)!

Nice Look, Great Color

cycleridr07, Newegg
18 February 2012
  • Summary: If you like the ergonomic type of keyboard , you'll love this one. For the price it cant be beat. Great job Newegg!!!
  • Pros: I like this keyboard, the black color is nice instead of the old off white or cream color. The last one i had was the white/cream and it worked great. I had carpal tunnel surgery awhile back and this board makes gamming fun again. This one is a little bit narrower than my last one, but nothing bad.
  • Cons: The only thing i wish is that the arrow keys, right side, were a little farther apart. they are kind of close and smaller than my other board. not worth an egg but still......maybe i just have fat fingers.

best keyboard i've ever had!

John E., Newegg
25 January 2012
  • Pros: this keyboard is awesome. great for everything from typing long texts, gaming, music production on both windows and mac... from personally trying the new apple slim keyboard, das keyboard, steelseries 6gv2, microsoft 200, and many others. there's just no replacing this one. it has a unique respon...
  • Cons: not really a con for the actual keyboard, but it's bulky and takes a little room. the default feet setting was a bit high for me, had to arch my wrists quite a bit. disabling the feet and just setting it flat is very comfortable if you're not seated too low. wish it were straight usb connectivity...
