Summary: Looks to me this product might be used product, even though it still looks new. I ordered it as a backup and just started to use it a few days ago. Unfortunate I have passed the 1 month warranty. It's time to buy a Elite from another seller.
Pros: I love MS Elite keyboard, but that experience doesn't apply to the product I got here.
Cons: The product I got quite a few keys doesn't function. Key: R, T, B, V The extra cable for USB port also doesn't do its work. This is another surprise.
Summary: I am using a pull-out drawer style computer desk. I didn't realize when I purchased the keyboard that I would not see the top 2 rows since it's all black and kind of in the shadow of the desk. Beware you will need some good lighting to see them.
Pros: Absolutely none except the fact that it matches the color of my PC.
Cons: I had to return the 1st one that was dead right out of the box. I have owned this keyboard for a little over a year and basically it's 1/2 dead. Escape, control & shift key not responding properly anymore. Some keys get slightly stuck midway when pressing them. This article is cheap construction ...
Pros: Don't have any, it had many malfunctioning keys
Cons: Unfortunately, this keyboard had many dead keys when I got it. In 20 years, this is the first keyboard I ever bought that didn't work correctly. At this price level, I expect keyboards to work right, the first time, out of the box. RMA hassles over a keyboard are just silly.
Pros: The amount of fun I had when throwing it out the window at unsuspecting victims. Very big hunk of plastic good for throwing at stuff without breaking the keyboard.
Cons: This is by far the worse keyboard i have ever used. The Price is so out of proportion I don't know why anyone would by this. The keys are VERY stiff and hard to press and when playing games it. Its all you dont want in a keyboard.
Summary: This keyboard is produced by MS mainly to promote their software products. I.e., if the default functions don't work in their competitor's programs, then you will be less likely to use those competing programs.
Pros: Lots of buttons, keys work smoothly.
Cons: 1. Very non-standard key layout. 2. Default setting for F-Lock key is off (reset to that position every time you reboot, at least in XP), which means that the function keys will do non-standard things until you turn it on. 3. Some of the multimedia keys only work in Windows Media Player from what...
Summary: I don't know what Microsoft did from their 1st generation of this keyboard to their latest, but they've totally destroyed whatever reputation their original natural keyboard had. I have both the old kind (arrow keys in an inverted-T shape) and a new kind (arrow keys in a cross pattern) This keyboard...
Summary: My experience parallels a previous review. I also used the older Microsoft Natural keyboard (now the Natural Pro) and it relieved my persistent pain. When I accidentally killed my keyboard, I ordered the Elite model without thinking.
