Reviews and Problems with Matias Bluetooth Folding

Terrible key bounce problem
Jeffrey Beale, Amazon
15 December 2012
Summary: I was specifically looking for a full sized bluetooth keyboard to use with my iPad. I had tried smaller keyboards before that were about the width of the iPad and typing on these was tedious and slower than using the on-screen keyboard. The size of this Matias folding keyboard is perfect and I had no problems pairing it with my iPad. Unfortunately, several of the keys have a tendency to "bounce" and give you the same letter multiple times.
Summary: Completed a quest to put together a laptop, b-tooth/battery printer, scanner, mouse, camera, etc., etc., that would ALL fit into one rolling laptop case. While I like the keyboard on my MacBook Air, I use an iRizer stand (also from Matias) that raises the somewhat small screen to almost eye level. This then requires a separate keyboard (on a plane I just use the MacBook Air by itself).
Summary: Having had several portable keyboards and, most recently, the Think Outside keyboard, I will say that Matias gets it right even though it is a bit larger. However, that size provides for usable keyboard keys and no modifier needs. It turns off and on easily and connects immediately with no interaction or other need. Overall, it's a great keyboard.
Summary: Product works well. It sometimes is not recognized by the computer; but it eventually connects. When stored in my travel bag, it inadvertently turns on because of the location of the on/off switch so it can drain the battery. There should be legs on the keyboard so that it angles better than typing on the MacBook keyboard. Notwithstanding those items, it is excellent and well serves its purpose.
Summary: I purchased this keyboard specifically for use with my iPad. At the time I bought it, it was only one of a handful of Bluetooth keyboards designed to be portable/foldable. The best compliment I can give it is that it's adequate, but it certainly is not great and is not worth the price.
Flimsy hard to use pairing button - Good once paired
A. Alvarez "AA", Amazon

Summary: I wanted to use this keyboard with more than one device, pairing as needed. The first inconvenience is the pairing button is one of those that you need to use a pen or toothpick to press, or paper clip. Those kind of buttons are not meant to use routinely and are very inconvenient, especially since the power button is positioned so you do not accidentally push it so why not make the pairing button easier to use while not being in the way?
Summary: I purchased this keyboard to use with a certain fruit inspired smart phone, and I have found that this is a nifty keyboard. The folding does make it more portable than its non-folding competition. Additionally, the full-size character buttons make typing very easy, and the keys are responsive. Also, setup is a breeze: no special drivers needed (assuming your bluetooth adapter is setup correctly), and pairing is idiot proof.
Summary: The keyboard works as described. Obviously some customers can't understand that "Folding Keyboard for MAC" means a Macintosh. For those who "NEED A WINDOW VISTA compatible" just buy one. And don't "loose your patience" unless it's too tight.
Summary: I have a mac and this folding keyboard is a perfect travel accessory. It's lightweight and works just like a regular keyboard. I don't have issues with the bluetooth. The only downside is I left it on once and it burned up the batteries. If you turn if off when not in use they last quite a long time. I can't imagine not having one. I would recommend it for the Mac, I can't speak for the pc.
Summary: This is my first I bought a product from amazon and it didnt quite gone well. I order this product knowing they will know what I really want to get. Lack of specification give me alot of trouble buying this product. It said "Matias Bluetooth Folding Keyboard" and as I expected I get the product BUT they send me not really a wrong product but a not compatible product for my computer.
