Blew up on me

Anonymous, Newegg
23 November 2010
  • Summary: I like the keyboard a lot, but buying it 3 times is too many. I'm looking for a new model now. The mouse itself is comfortable but designed too cheaply to last.
  • Pros: I've owned two of these sets. I love the feel of the keys on the keyboard (very smooth and quiet) and the mouse is ergonomically designed.
  • Cons: The first mouse I had wore out the left click after about a year, so I replaced it with a mouse from a different logitech kit. The keyboard died a while later (my fault). I purchased a second full kit a while later, but the batteries it shipped with exploded after having it a month. I'm still usi...

If you use the scroll...

Susan M., Newegg
21 November 2010
  • Pros: Good connection, works and any surface, good build quality except...
  • Cons: ...the scroll wheel is giving me some issues. I use AutoCAD a lot and I use the click on the scroll wheel a lot to move around in CAD and to open things in new tabs. It is starting to ware out, it doent always click.

bad e

Joseph Y., Newegg
10 November 2010
  • Pros: Nice slim design. Work well until......
  • Cons: "e" starts to get sticky. Have to press hard to get it. Took it apart. Likely the contact is failing. Well, "e' is a vowel and gets used more often. I am a Logitech fan. But my other Logitech keyboard is also getting sticky. Time to use a different brand.

Nice set, could be better

Wesley G., Newegg
28 October 2010
  • Summary: The keyboard can't handle more than a few keys pressed at once. Pushing down 4 or more buttons while gaming can cause the keyboard to 'freeze up' for a few seconds. A better receiver could make this a 5egg product, but no matter how nice the set is, if it wont respond to clicks it's no good.
  • Pros: The mouse and keys are very comfortable to use. Keyboard buttons are smooth, mouse is comfortable in hand. The battery life on the keyboard is amazing, and batteries last about a month or more (Use is extreme, 12-15 hours a day)
  • Cons: Reception on this set leaves much to be desired. Keyboard and mouse seem to randomly stop working, clicks and keys wont register no matter where I place the receiver.

Not so great

Jeff W., Newegg
11 August 2010
  • Summary: I like all the other Logitech products I own, but this one's a dud. I wouldn't buy this again, nor would I recommend it to anyone else. There's got to be something better out there.
  • Pros: We're using this for a PC hooked up to the TV in a small room, so the light weight of the board and mouse are a plus. Some folks think it feels flimsy, but I like the portability. The extra width of the board makes for good stability when resting it on my lap for typing while seated. Setup was a ...
  • Cons: RANGE, INTERFERENCE, INCONSISTENT. This kit kinda stinks as far as range goes and any interference at all screws it up. Setting the receiver on top of the PC causes the range to be reduced, and setting a cell phone near the receiver or mouse/keyboard kills the range. The range drops to just 2-3 f...

Great keyboard, bad mouse

Hajime S., Newegg
13 June 2010
  • Summary: I also own a Logitech MX mouse, which I am in love with. It's precise, lightweight, responsive and fits like it was made custom for me. However it costs more than this keyboard/mouse set combined. You get what you pay for!
  • Pros: pros only apply to the keyboard only! - comfortable and easy to type on - keys are quiet and are soft on impact - slim and sturdy (it can take an occasional pounding)
  • Cons: - mouse is heavy (it needs to AA batteries) - pointer is not as accurate as my other logitech mouse - i feel like the mouse goes to sleep and there is a millisecond delay in response - design is not ergonomic - as other users have mentioned, the wireless range is only 2-3 yards at best

Works but not so great on range.

Jonathan C., Newegg
27 May 2010
  • Summary: Get better range. Disappointed.
  • Pros: It works.
  • Cons: The range on this thing is terrible (bought 2). Anything up close (right near your receiver) will work.. anything that is slightly far away.. not going to happen.

Good build quality, horrible layout

Matt B., Newegg
13 January 2010
  • Summary: Why must they change the standard layout, to make it look prettier? I guess it's my fault for thinking I could get used to such a dumb layout.
  • Pros: Good, solid feeling build quality to the keyboard. Mouse is a little on the light side and feels a bit weaker, but works well.
  • Cons: Horrible non-standard layout for the arrow keys and the insert/home/page up/page down/home/end keys. I thought I could get used to it but after 4 hours of honest trying, I gave up and went back to my old keyboard. I use control-shift-left arrow to select text constantly in my job. This key combo ...

Decent

James B., Newegg
11 March 2009
  • Summary: This is a good choice if you're keeping it on the desk and not moving it (why would you buy a wireless keyboard if you were doing this?)
  • Pros: The keyboard works. Pretty good design, but the mouse feels bulky.
  • Cons: The range on this is awful. Absolutely awful. When I have the receiver more than 5 feet away from the keyboard, it starts to not work.

not for HTPC

Daniel T., Newegg
14 December 2008
  • Summary: The mouse is not a notebook mouse, it's larger and runs through the same receiver as the keyboard. A very nice keyboard and mouse for the price for typical desk use, just not enough range for home theater use.
  • Pros: Light keyboard, mouse tracks well on a variety of surfaces, slightly firmer key feel than laptop style keyboard but short travel, useful function buttons, nice overall design
  • Cons: does not work more than 5 feet from receiver and must be directly lined up even then. This makes it not useful for a HTPC, which was why i bought it in the first place.
