Summary: I read the negative reviews on here and after buying one myself, am very happy with it. It has a goo strong signal, no cables for IR receiver and the adapter no bigger than thumb flash drive. I did not have to install any drivers and the buttons just work and its nice to have on off feature to save power.
Summary: I got this keyboard because I am a software programmer and the extra keys on the number pad was something I could really use at my work. Also I have other Logitech products and liked that this said it uses the unifying receiver. Well...it DOES NOT use the unifying receiver!! It comes with this gigantic USB receiver that is so unappealing, especially when I was expecting not to have to use another receiver.
Summary: Been using the product for almost 2 years now and it's still going strong. I still haven't changed the batteries since first installation so I'm pleased about that. I use the keyboard for gaming as well and it feels natural for FPS games. The only complaint about this product is not having a LED when caps lock is on.
Summary: If you have a home theater PC (HTPC) connected to your TV, you probably need a keyboard at least occasionally. I use this one in my living room along with a wireless mouse to operate my HTPC from the couch. Since the couch is only 11 or 12 feet from the computer, I'm unable to comment on the range except to say that it works perfectly from 12 feet. The battery life is excellent, though I do of course turn it off when I'm not using it.
