Summary: The reciever was in the front of my computer and couldn't survive a 30 lb kid hanging from it. Turns out it broke, which is what told me it was discontinued which also sucks. The MK710 seems nice enough though.
Pros: This is a very durable keyboard and mouse combination. I owned them both for about 3 years or so and never really had a problem with either. They have stood up to the test of my one year old child for the last year. The on/off switch also allowed me to turn it off and hand it to him while I watch...
Summary: I bought this for the wireless interface and also for the multimedia functions. Every works great and I'm not going to return it (bought it at sam's). It's just a carpal tunnel danger when using this mighty mouse!
Pros: Keyboard has GREAT feel to it. It has 2 height angle adjustments (4 degree rais and 8 degree raise). Multimedia buttons, nice functions that are handy. Mouse feels comfortable, scroll wheel can have ratchet effect removed on demand for supar fast scrolling. Smooth laser reading. I have no problem...
Cons: Mouse is HEAVY HEAVY HEAVY. Laser reads smooth, but it is so heavy, even with a super silky mouse pad, I have trouble making slight moves with this thing because it takes so much effort to get it moving.
Pros: Works well even without supplied software on Windows 7. pretty comfy on the hands and i like the "lighter" feeling keys. Decent software for programming macros, custom key binds, and setting up your mouse the way you like it. The mouse seems to work on nearly any surface.
Cons: The usb key used for the wireless connection is a bit weak feeling. I would recommend being careful with it. I use the extension that came with it to avoid breaking it.
Summary: A great Keyboard and mouse combo, with exceptional range and battery life.
Pros: The mouse works on just about any surface including bedspreads, sheets clothes, bare skin, etc. The range is great. Battery life is off the charts. I use this combo with my htpc in my bedroom and I constantly leave the mouse on and have only changed the batteries once in a little over a year. The K...
Cons: Keyboard is rather large for my needs but fine for desktop use. If I was buying right now I would opt for the anywhere mouse with darkfield and unifying receiver.
Summary: I would be disseminated if i spent a third of the cost. What a ripoff. I hear good things from the Bluetooth version. I guess you have to go all out if you want something for the living room.
Pros: Great look and feel to both keyboard and mouse. Drainage holes would make you think that you could take it more than 5 ft from the computer
Cons: Terrible range. You need line of sight to the dongle, which does not have any wire, its is just like a thumb drive. with no line of sight the range is a few feet at best with brand new batteries. Even within range with zero rf interference it can hang, delays keystrokes several seconds and then b...
Summary: I'm using this in an HTPC setup. In retrospect I would like to have more than one option for mouse input, such as a laptop style keyboard nub or touch-pad built into the keyboard. Managing two input devices in my armchair or on the couch can get unwieldy at times.
Pros: Great battery life. I don't know why it even had an off switch. I never turn it off, even when the system is powered down. Battery meter still reads a full charge. The mouse works on just about any surface; armchair arm, my leg, pillows, etc.
