Summary: I love the feel and ease of the keys. It's like typing on air. I really believe my speed and dexterity has improved. And the strain on my wrists are minimal. Although it feels lightweight, it is really quite durable as I have had this keyboard for a while now.
Summary: I bought my keyboard in May 07. I am using Windows XP and I have not had any problems with it at all so far. I really love the zoom feature and if you are in the over 40 crowd you will too. Someone complained that there is no insert key. There is an insert key its above the home key. Granted is not part of the group of normal keys but I like it being out of the way so I don't hit it by accident.
Summary: I bought the Media Keyboard Elite to replace my wireless X-700 because that keyboard and mouse were unsuitable for online gaming. I consider the X-700 the best keyboard I have ever used in terms of the extra buttons and the overall quality. The Media Keyboard Elite matches the X-700 in quality but not in the extras. I rarely use most of the controls, but the Set Point software is handy to assign new programs to the various shortcut keys.
Summary: At first I was worried that the letters would easily scrape off because there appears to be a small amount of lacquer covering each letter. A closer examination reveals a very hard letter to scrape off. One thing I don't like about it is the letters on the keys are small and could be much bigger. After all, the baby-boomers are getting older you know!
Summary: I do enjoy the keyboard, some issues with the functions keys working correctly and the letters on the keys could be larger, a bit hard to see. Otherwise, I love the ability to rest my hands on the base and using the media keys. Also, had to put some rubber strips on the rear feet to keep the board from slipping on my desk. All in all it is worth having and a great price.
Logitech Media Keyboard Elite: Logitech Media Elite Keyboard Review
1 August 2008
Summary: I bought this keyboard because it was the first one I spotted which had a wrist rest and all the extra buttons for media player and so on. At nearly £20 I don't think it was the best value keyboard I could have purchased, but it I had not seen another which had what I wanted and I didn't really want to mess around buying a separate wrist rest. Another key point to make at the start is that this is not a wireless keyboard, but this was not something I was after anyway.
Pros: Wrist rest, excellent media player controls, plenty of other useful shortcut buttons
Summary: Alles in allem eine tolle Tastatur.
