User Review

Victor M., Newegg
27 February 2015
  • Summary: This is going back. This is the third Keyboard in a row , from Logitech no less, that i am unhappy with and returning. And seriously logitech ,FIX your site. One day it will say CherryMX browns and the next day says something that can only suggest that the key switch is your own proprietary switch,...
  • Pros: Looks nice. Lights are nice. Is an improvement over my previous keyboard.
  • Cons: Priced a bit to high for what it really is... Most of you know what i am saying. Not using Cherry MX Brown, not in this one. Way to soft. Actuation point is slightly higher too. Again with the macros, useless and in the way. Macros are not a feature , imo , but a bearing on the user. Unless done ...

didnt last long

michael d., Newegg
19 February 2015
  • Pros: Keys have a great feel and sound.
  • Cons: After a year the escape key and key stopped working. Took the keyboard apart and cleaned the inside up with air to blow away dust from contactors and the keys were a no go. I'd look someplace else for a good mechanical keyboard that you use more than just lightly. I use this keyboard now and agai...

Logitech has horrible support

Matthew S., Newegg
21 November 2014
  • Pros: A mechanical keyboard with programmable keys at a very competitive price. Noise dampening on the keys keeps roommates from complaining about late night typing or gaming sessions.
  • Cons: Logitech has awful support. Instead of quickly and painlessly resolving an issue with a defective plastic key by mailing me a new one, they want me to RMA my entire keyboard. This will leave me without a keyboard for a week. A huge hassle over a minor part. The keyboard is usable, it's just that ...

Logitech G710+ keyboard

Guy C., Newegg
14 November 2014
  • Summary: I should probably return this keyboard as I do not play games therefore it is seeing very little abuse and the keys are not staying on. Other than that I wish it was ergonomic much like the Microsoft keyboard.
  • Pros: Like the lighted keys as I'm working in a fairly dark environment and I'm a touch typist.
  • Cons: Keys are coming off the keyboard on a regular basis, Shoddy workmanship at best. I still cannot get used to having the symbols on the keys reversed, i.e. The numbers are on top of the other symbols such as the Dollar sign etc....And only the letters and numbers are lit defeating the purpose of a ...

1+ year owner disappointed

Michael T., Newegg
4 September 2014
  • Pros: Heavy and solid build. MX Cherry Browns. Media control. USB connectors for mouse. Heavy duty stand up clips. The clicks are not loud.
  • Cons: Backlighting is all broken.; most of the top row does not light up at all and never has. The keys themselves are starting to break; the underside of the plastic cap where the '+' is. So now I have no key on one of my G macro buttons and also I am using the page down where my 'd' key belongs. I am...

Probably Best to Avoid

Alexander W., Newegg
6 August 2014
  • Summary: Either or, but the backlights are really bright at the highest settings. So you need to turn them back a little or you may blind yourself during the night.
  • Pros: Feels responsive and is relatively quiet for a mechanical keyboard. The extra USB plugs were nice, but I hardly used them.
  • Cons: Keycaps break. They will break with no exception. Logitech will not just send you replacement keycaps.

Good keyboard, garbage keycaps

Ian F., Newegg
16 July 2014
  • Summary: I'm not really hard on keyboards, and have actually become less hard on keyboards over the years (less 'enthusiastic' gaming). No dropping, shaking, hitting, nor anything that I would expect to damage a non-gaming keyboard, let alone one meant for gaming.
  • Pros: In terms of comfort and the response to key presses, this IS one of the more comfortable keyboards I've used in the many years I've been using computer keyboards. The adjustable lighting is nice, and game mode that disables the Windows key is a nice, useful feature as well.
  • Cons: As comfortable as it is, these keyboards are absolute garbage when it comes to quality. I have purchased THREE of these, and all three have had problems within a few months. I initially ordered two, one for myself and one for the female spousal unit. Out of the box, her keyboard's F through apost...

Nice Feel, Unforgivably Cheap Keycaps

Jeffrey A., Newegg
18 June 2014
  • Summary: Absolutely not worth the money for a keyboard failing in it's most basic function. Unless Logitech has expressly stated that the build quality of the keycaps has been revised, DO NOT BUY.
  • Pros: MX Cherry brown switches provide good feedback and responsiveness. Decent customization options for lighting and macro keys.
  • Cons: Multiple keycaps started breaking after about 6 months of use. I don't type with an abnormal amount of force, and this is the first keyboard I've owned in 25+ years of PC use where the keys have actually broke from normal use. This seems to be a somewhat common problem with this keyboard, and Log...

Keys have SERIOUS durability issues. Look at other brands instead.

Anonymous, Newegg
15 May 2014
  • Summary: If you are considering buying a mechanical keyboard for their increased durability, look elsewhere. It seems Logitech wanted bigger profit margins and cut costs with materials on this product, resulting in keycap socket walls that are too thin for any serious keyboard use.
  • Pros: This keyboard looks good on paper; it has MX brown keys all throughout the board, 6 macro keys, a variable level whtie backlight, media keys, volume wheel, etc. It also has a wrist wrest (not the most solid, but it works and is somewhat short), a usb passthrough port, and the software works prett...
  • Cons: There is a serious issue with the durability of the keycaps on this keyboard. After 6 months, I have had at least 5 keycaps break, all in the same area. The "sockets" on the bottoms of the keys seem to either crack or split, which makes the keys very loose; so loose that they often fly right off ...

Fragile parts

Michael F., Newegg
2 May 2014
  • Summary: The keys are propped up on little plastic rods. My CTRL key broke so that every time I brushed it while typing, the key would fall off the keyboard. In reviewing the Logitech website, there were numerous other complaints about this.
  • Pros: The touch of the keyboard is exceptionally nice and its layout and design (apart from the keys) is logical and intuitive.
  • Cons: The keys are fragile.
