Great product! but..
4 February 2014
Summary: I have had this keyboard for about 8 months now, and Im still very happy for it! I only have two major errors to complain about, else is this possibly the best keyboard I have ever typed on. Maybe even better than Apple own keyboards.. Cons: - CMD+TAB for shifting between programs does not work?! If you press it, and then want to go back, so you add shift (CMD+TAB+SHIFT) then it exits the tab function. That is a major error/bug!
Excerpt: I had a keyboard that doubled as a case. However, it added bulk to the IPad, and it was a pain to switch from device to device. This one is external to the iPad, so it is easy to share with my wife and her iPad, or my Android phone. Especially love the easy-switch keys, as I never have to Pair it a second time. The keys work well and are spaced well too. Really nice to have the backlighting for the keys, because I often sit outside on the deck at night.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Multi-device, Never Freezes, Versatile
Excerpt: I liked the Apple keyboard that came with my new Mac, but it never had that "just right" feeling when typing on it. This keyboard has the right feel for me. You know when the keystroke worked. I like to keep my work area on the dim side (I hate glare). Sometimes this would cause me to have to look hard to find the right key if it was one I seldom used. This keyboard solved that problem handily.
Pros: Backlighting Is Great, Easy To Set Up, Easy to Use, Efficient, Key Board Has Nice Touch, Quality Construction
Summary: Logitech have given me the keyboard I wish Apple had made. With extremely good build quality, the aesthetics I wanted, and back light illumination. The K811 fits the role brilliantly. It's great to type on, and the slightly inward curved keys are quite good. It does take sometime to adjust to this from an Apple keyboard, due to the spacing differences in the keys, but once that's out f the way you'll never want to go back.
Summary: ...very expensive. You would have to be looking at a top of the range gaming keyboard to beat the price of this one. Having said that, it is very comfortable to use (I would say that it is better than Apple's iMac keyboard) with back lit screen and depressions on the key's for added comfort/convenience. I have not had any drop outs yet and the rechargeable function is a nice added extra.
Summary: Much better than the Apple one. Serves both our Macs and iPad and keys light up when your hand gets near it. Compact and portable in my notebook travel bag. Re-chargeable, so it does not need batteries and the dimpled keys are much better than the chiclet type keys. Run my Macbook Pro attached to an HDML monitor so I keep the cover closed most of the time when i'm at home. I would have liked it about an inch wider as I have bit bigger hands.
Summary: Bought this to use with my mac mini, windows gaming pc and ipad (1 keyboard on my desk is much neater). It's obviously a very good looking keyboard and it sits well with other apple gear if that's what you're in to. I particularly like the backlight, which fades out when not in use and then turns back on as your hands approach to type again. Typing wise, the keys have more travel than the apple wireless keyboard which I like.
Summary: Very frustrating. Paired with windows 8.1 easily the first time, it then refused to pair after that, reinstalling drivers or resetting did nothing, and my pc bluetooth still functional with all other devices. Solution; bought an external bluetooth dongle for a tenner... now works perfectly every time. Glad I tried this before returning item. Now it's working, very good keyboard, feels classy and sturdy. Works well with ps4 too.
