Summary: Nice little keyboard for $40. I find the touch pad a bit to sensitive for my tastes and there seems to be no way to get around this. The keyboard does not appear to the have an auto OFF feature. You need to physically need to turn it off (switch on top of keyboard) or keep a pair of charged batteries on hand at all times. Other than that it has long range connectivity, I've gone at least 20 feet and it still has a connection.
Pros: small, good connectivity, takes AA batteries
Summary: This units small size and having the keyboard with integrated touch pad is a great idea. The installation was very easy. For what it is, this product works very well. Using the touch pad instead of a mouse took a few tries to get used to. A mouse is faster and more accurate. However, I like not having extra junk cluttering my space. Why the three stars? When I type, I use the right handed shift key a lot. On this model, the shift key is 1/2 the size of normal.
Summary: Really the K400 is the right form factor but the wrong build quality. It needs the backlit keys and key feel of the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard. So, they got it half right and half cheap. The feel of the keys really kills the feel of the whole keyboard. Maybe they'll fix those deficiencies in the future with the above suggestions. Until then the K400 makes for a decent secondary wireless keyboard but I would not use it as your main one.
Summary: I bought this for my HTPC, having grown tired of getting up and down every time I wanted to pause a movie... or interact with the computer in anyway. The keyboard itself is pretty good, for the price it has the type of build quality you expect but it's perfectly acceptable. My gripe with this unit, is that if you sit on the couch and try to use it... you have to make sure the keyboard has a line of sight to the receiver on your computer.
Summary: The keyboard is functional, but it is uncharacteristically ugly for Logitech. Seriously, who though of adding these lines to the trackpad?! Please fire them! Otherwise, it works OK. It's relatively cheap, and it looks it (and kind of feels like it as well).
Summary: I liked the idea of the integrated track pad, but the problem was that I really need the 10 key plus the standard page up and down for work. This keyboard is not working.....too bad I missed the 2 week return window, so now I have to sell this on ebay.
Summary: i got this keyboard for christmas, its a great little keyboard and all i wanted was for something i could just lay back on the couch and use to control my computer while hooked up to the TV without having annoying wires pretty much does the job so i can't complain too much, just have a few small issues.
Pros: Great value, good for loungin back on the couch, compact and lightweight, win8 gestures, easy setup
Cons: bad signal sometimes even when 5 feet away, touch pad super sensitive, 2 finger scrolling not as nice as mac, right shift key takes getting used to, big time, no one finger scrolling (out of the box)
