Summary: I saw a couple maroons give 4-5 eggs. I bought a half dozen of these and was delivering to a customer. To my suprise, they are NOT a standard layout as advertised. I will have these recycle-ready pieces in my stock until they hit the dumpster.
Pros: it is a pretty black. They have recyclable plastic parts.
Cons: Key layout is screwy. if you are from England, I hear these keyboards will be fine. If you are from the U.S. where they are being sold, then there should be mention of the NON-STANDARD key layout. These do not have the U.S.-standard keycaps AND, they are not in the same position either.
Summary: I keep hitting the wrong key when I hit the left shift.
Pros: It's a keyboard and a Logitech....
Cons: ...So I trusted that I was getting a quality standard keyboard. Didn't think I needed to read the reviews for a simple keyboard. I thought it was standard, however some of the keys are not where you expect them to be. Some other reviewers are saying UK layout....so beware if you know how to type. :)
Summary: keyboard quality would rate at least a 4 egg for quality but newegg marketing it as standard layout in US is a fail especially as i got this keyboard to go with a system i am building for a friend that would only be frustrated by a non US standard layout so i get to throw away the money i paid out...
Pros: good responsive key and reasonably sturdy for the price point
Cons: UK keyboard being marketed in the US and being described by newegg as standard layout in the spec list
Summary: someone said the "pipe" was missing. it isn't; it is next to the left shift key. As for the key labels not matching what is output to the screen, that is perfectly normal behaviour.
Pros: The keyboard is a good size with large backspace and enter keys. the multimedia keys just work which is nice. The main keys are 1.3 mm square. In total, the keyboard is approximately 46 cm wide by 20 cm deep. The keyboard's multimedia keys are also compatible with Linux (Ubuntu and Kubuntu 11.10)...
Cons: None. If you are British and/or have the correct keymapping selected in your operating system.
Summary: There is another review that mentions these issue. Newegg should be aware of this and had better be by now.
Pros: Nice unit, good key feel.
Cons: The key labels don't match the ascii code that is output. The instruction sheet that comes with the box shows a picture with a standard layout. The keyboard does not match the picture on the instruction sheet. The pictures on the web, if examined real closely indicate that there may be a problem....
