Mind of its Own

Dustin H., Newegg
7 February 2015
  • Summary: I have bought and used only logitech accessories my entire life, for more then a decade now I have stood behind their products, but this one destroys their image for me. My logitech G15 from 5 years ago works and functions better then this G510, and I have put the G15 through MUCH worse.
  • Pros: Sleek design, great "striking" feel when typing, too many macros to even use, any color back-light you want, mic and headphone jack with mute option, media controls, on paper it's the best keyboard I've ever owned.
  • Cons: It must have shorted out a few weeks ago because it now has a mind of its own. starts typing without any key being pressed, double/triple/quadra inserts on single key presses, and even throws in characters from the other side of the board. surprised I can even write this right now.. logging in wi...

Don't bother

Richard K., Newegg
10 September 2013
  • Summary: I've bought many logitech products in the past but this disappointment will make me reconsider them in the future.
  • Pros: *Screen is nice.
  • Cons: *According to tech support: only has a 1 year warranty. *Keys stop working after a couple years use. *Expensive

Poor imitation of G110

Scott S., Newegg
4 May 2013
  • Summary: I bought this because my Logitech G110 died and I needed a replacement. I thought this was a good fix but it was defective hardware with defective software.
  • Pros: Lots of buttons.
  • Cons: Audio defective. Plugged in multiple different headphones and they exhibited scratching sounds. Software requires Windows UAC to be turned off to function properly (security risk much???). With UAC enabled it often crashes or locks up on Windows startup. Requires hacks (aka Task Scheduler) to sta...

Bad Logitech

Nicholas B., Newegg
26 March 2013
  • Summary: I have always bought logitech. But I will now definitly reconsider when I buy a keyboard from them. I feel a lot of the good reviews on this board are misled because of the name brand.
  • Pros: for the price...none that I could find other than easy to use and set up.
  • Cons: At first I was very excited about this keyboard. I wanted a gaming keyboard that was back-lit, had macro keys, and a screen (wasnt necessary). The Keys: I immediatly noticed that they keys were very unresponsive. I do not think that it was a defected keyboard because I found a lot of reviews desc...

Waaaaaarning

Sharlene H., Newegg
10 March 2013
  • Pros: looks good on screen or box
  • Cons: There are many keys that skip or lock. (eg) rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and some that do not even register. So unless mine fell off the truck I would be very careful about buying this model.

Waste of money

Victor C., Newegg
21 February 2013
  • Summary: This keyboard has some nice features but when the basic functions are poorly designed I have to give it a low score. I bought a warranty with this product which I now regret. Not just because I don't like the keyboard but because I don't trust Logitech anymore.
  • Pros: The LCD Screen is a nice addition. The lighting is a bit weak but overall very nice.
  • Cons: The keyboard is less comfortable and harder to type on than the original dell keyboard one of my old computers came with. The software often crashes.

Get a Razor Keyboard instead of This Piece of ****

CARLO D., Newegg
7 February 2013
  • Summary: I'm so glad I was within the 1 month return, and that I didn't buy it through new egg (RMA's are such a nightmarish process, one I'm glad i've never had to do by far) I've bought logitec mouses, and those work like a charm, I was really expecting quality out of a logitec product, but I was surprised...
  • Pros: I bought this keyboard at Best Buy. The keyboard has nice features, such as plenty of macro buttons an LED Screen, and a lock for keys that might minimize your game... but that's pretty much where the good stuff ends...
  • Cons: The keyboard claims to be anti Ghost... well.. this is mostly true for the left side of the keyboard, but if you're a gamer that requires the left side + the right side (like the arrow keys) you're out of luck, cus if you press more than 2 keys on the left, the left arrow key will ghost.. This, f...

Not Compatible with W8

Jeremy B., Newegg
23 December 2012
  • Summary: I've loved Logitech's products for years, still using their tracball mouse and my 5.1 speaker system that could shatter windows if my neighbors got on my nerves. this keyboard was disappointing however, and I just bought a MS keyboard.
  • Pros: Illuminated keys
  • Cons: My first impression was not a good one. as soon as I bought this keyboard, my games started crashing and believed the video driver was to blame, as outlined in the event viewer. Event Viewer also showed an error with Windows Sideshow. I learned the keyboard used windows sideshow from the software...

Horrible support from Logitech

Travis R., Newegg
9 December 2012
  • Summary: Poor support and lack of spare parts... I'll stick with replacement and support from the Razer/Corsair gaming keyboards, as this will be the last dying Logitech product I ever own (coming from a die hard Logitech Trackman and Keyboard owner) congrats you lost a loyal customer!
  • Pros: Keyboard itself works great, the latest software for creating macros and maintaining the keys etc are good.
  • Cons: The LCD is overrated and undersupported. But my real negativity comes towards Logitech and their complete lack of supporting the flimsy keyboard legs, that once they break they expect you to replace the entire keyboard. They were kind enough to use smaller and proprietary make so that you won't f...

Uninformed customer service

Garrett D., Newegg
4 December 2012
  • Summary: They were absolutely no help and I am never buying from logitech ever again. Looks like I'm going to give razor a try.
  • Pros: Pretty much everything on this keyboard works except for one important function that they lie about. see cons
  • Cons: The keyboard does not register up to 5 keypresses. I would try to play a game where I need to press the w, space, shift, and t keys and the t does not register when I have the others pressed down. I have to release another key for the t to register. I called support to find out if this was a prob...
