Excerpt: The logitech g11 is a nice keyboard that is well designed and very useful for gamers. The most obvious advantage of this keyboard over a standard keyboard is the macro keys that are on the left side of the keyboard. You can program them to do anything you like. For games like wow you can have them do different macros or just as extra action keys. For just desktop uses, you can load up your different passwords or launch individual programs with them.
Excerpt: Logitech G11 Keyboard. This is a very nice backlit keyboard. I purchased it as a gift for my boyfriend who is a avid gamer. After I used it several months I purchased one for myself as well. I was a pretty avid gamer before I had my son but rarely get to play any longer. I have had it for a little over 2 years and it has never malfunctioned. PROS CONS Overall it is an a very very nice keyboard. I can't live without the backlit feature now even in the daytime.
Summary: The keyboard G keys are non functional in certain PC Games. I also use it for text, letter writing and macros.I love the lighted keyboard, what ever you do purchse a lighted keyboard. Overall if your not a gamer the G11 saves lots of time. I purchased it for a good price,so I can't complain. I see that logitech has come out with newer game keyboards.
Excellent, but HUGE; weird key labeling layout; needs more "tilt"

Summary: I've only had this keyboard for a few days, but so far, I love it! But, Logitech needs to make a non-gaming version. I bought it solely for the backlighting feature and don't really need/want the programmable buttons. So for my personal needs, that's a waste of 4" on the left. If you've got a desk with a pullout keyboard drawer that you also have your mouse on, you will find it VERY cramped.
Summary: I purchased this keyboard about a month ago because I was interested in the macro keys and how useful they'd be for gaming. But before I get to that, let me give a few statements about the keyboard in general. 1. As many reviewers have said already, this keyboard is fairly large. However, I have plenty of desk space, so that's not an issue to me. 2. The backlit keys are very nice for those who sometimes type in the dark.
Summary: I finally updated from an old Microsoft keyboard and have been mostly pleased with the G11. There are three small problems which earned it 4 out of 5 stars. 1. The programmable keys take up a lot of space on the left side, which is fine if you have a full desk with plenty of real estate. 2. The strength of the backlight needs another upping on brightness. 3. The size of the letters/numbers/symbols.
Summary: This keyboard has a great feel to it. The keys really feel like the old IBM keyboards back in the good old days. The lighting on it feels really good, it is not hard on the eyes, and has the nice option to turn it off during the day. From a gamer view the keyboard works almost flawless, the profiler software is really easy to use and has worked with almost every game I have unless it's a really old one or a bad port from a console.
