The Logitech G11 is a keyboard that was specifically designed for gamers. It features a host of one-touch special function buttons as well as user-programmable keys. It comes in a combination of silver and black and is supported by Windows XP and Windows Vista. It connects to computers via a USB cable. The Logitech G11 Gaming Keyboard features a QWERTY keyboard layout that includes the standard alphanumeric keys, editing & navigation keys, and function keys. It also comes with a numeric keypad. The keyboard also has 18 user-programmable G keys that each has 3 shift states allowing for a total of 54 single-press macros. Macros can also be created and saved while the keyboard is in use for gaming. The Logitech G11 also features media keys, which are located at the top center area of the keyboard. These keys include common shortcuts such as volume adjustments, play/pause, stop rewind, and fast forward. There is also a mute button which is located at the top right side of the keyboard. The keyboard is equipped with blue backlighting so users can choose to use illuminated keys. Users can also choose from 3 levels of backlighting. The backlight level can be controlled using a button located at the top right portion of the keyboard. Cable routing channels are also available at the underside portion of the Logitech G11 Gaming Keyboard allowing its users to keep their desk space neat by routing mouse, headset, and other cables under the keyboard.
The G11 comes with media keys on the top, plus an extra control or two. The centrally located buttons are used for skipping, stopping and playing/pausing tracks, while the centre wheel controls volume. The use of a wheel for volume is great, much better than having buttons like on the Razer Tarantula, and gives plenty of precise and quick control. To the right of this are two buttons, for muting all sound and cycling the backlighting between Off, Dim and On modes. O... Read more
The Logitech G11 is a nice well rounded keyboard with a few extra added features. The G11 keyboard has all the awesome features of the G15. Yes, it doesn't have the LCD screen like it's bigger brother the G15, but for me that was a "wow" factor anyways. With its multi-level brightness of the keys, easy to use multi media controls and the G series of keys makes it hard not to think about switching to the Logitech G11 keyboard. For those of you that want a solid keyboar... Read more
: The same caveats occur as the G15. At the time of this writing, there is only a $10 difference between the G15 and the G11 . If you were thinking about getting a G11 due to the keys and are not absolutely against the LCD, pick up the G15 . Once again I will mention that it is important to test the input device before you buy it. Go into a retail store and try it out. The G11 is a strange fit in this market since the price difference between it and the G15 is so sma... Read more
I don't use my keyboard for gaming and i love it. I am an Autocad Draftsman or Designer which ever one you like. I use the G8 keys as hot keys for Autocad, it speeds up your drawing time. It takes a little getting use to, but when you do you won't be ableto use a regular keyboard again. Read more
This product worked flawlessly...for about 8 months of light use. Suddenly the ''l'', ''enter'', and right shift keys stopped responding, even though they were still illuminated. Although it *IS* under warranty this seems pretty rediculous considering that I am typing this right now on a 12 year old Logitech Internet Navigator that has just been collecting dust in my closet for years. The features are nice, but a quick Googling will reveal that there are a lot of faul... Read more
