Easy call Wireless keyboard
P. T. Jones, Amazon
24 March 2010
Summary: Not a very good product. The mouse is okay. The wireless keyboard needs the batteries changed about every 3 or 4 weeks. Contacted Logitech and sent me a new one. The new one did the same thing. I was sent a third one and still no difference. I gave up at that point. They send the same replacement series as the old one. They are supposed to send a different series. I now go out of my way to avoid Logitech products.
Summary: EasyCall Desktop Keyboard/Mouse Combo EasyCall Desktop Keyboard/Mouse Combo I was more than a little surprised when I saw this here on Amazon, and read that it was first available in 2006. My surprise was due to the fact that I had recently purchased another Logitech product, called Cordless Desktop Laser LX-715. Although it was listed as being new, when it arrived it was missing all paperwork and the software. I also could not find a receiver in the box.
Summary: As another reviewer here, Xante "daffyd," put it, this is both a great and terrible keyboard set at the same time. I still give it 4 stars because I can deal with the quirks and don't see any other option out there that suits my needs as well. I actually bought 3 of these and have been using the item now for ~2 years-but got them over a period of time. Price on average was under thirty bucks after MIR, I think that all came from a retailer that doesn't exist anymore!
Logitech acknowledges a problem with EasyCall keyboards...
9 September 2008
Summary: Logitech acknowledges a problem with EasyCall keyboards. Battery life may be only one month or less. Please search Logitech's support site for answer ID #6396 titled "LX 710 (EasyCall) Keyboard has short battery life". If you experience this issue, Logitech will NOT replace your unit. Only refunds are available for EasyCall Desktop setups. I've also experienced a problem with the mouse that is included in this package.
Summary: love the material of the keyboard and is very comfortable. the laser mouse is definitely a plus. i would recommend to buy even if yu dont need the easycall function like me. hot keys all work. it works great! and the battery life is great! would recommend to all!
Summary: One thing that I've learned about logitech products over the years is that while the design and innovation can be top notch, the software is not. That being said, I installed Setpoint.exe on my Vista Home Premium system and it didn't work properly. I use firefox so I use my middle mouse click to open new tabs, but when I installed setpoint, it no longer worked. After some tweaking, I got it to work... for a short while, then it stopped working again.
Summary: add the webcam and you're all set. It helps me to clean up my cable clutter, the mouse & keyboard is quite comfort, the microphone is quite sensitive yet smart enough to cancel the noise. Need the european driver for Skype - can be a big deal for some people. Overall I'm happy and will recommend it. The only con: non rechargeable mouse.
Summary: While the keyboard and mouse works just fine for me so far, the biggest and most annoying problem with this system is that it messes with my sound settings without asking me. In other words, every time I close and reopen the internet or have to restart the computer, it changes the default settings in the sound control panel to use the speakerphone, rather that the original sound settings. What happens then is sound is cut from my Logitech 2.1 speakers.
