Summary: If if weren't for the lousy connection issues I would give this keyboard/mouse combo 5 eggs. As it is, I give the keyboard 3 and the mouse 5, avg 4. I've been a big fan of logitech interface devices, and the issues experienced here haven't deterred me.
Pros: Full size BT keyboard, tilt wheel mouse with thumb zoom and search button. Keyboard has a neat LCD display that provides useless tidbits like keystrokes and ambient temperature
Cons: Connectivity issues. I use this in a conference room at work and, while the mouse stays connected after the computer is woken from sleep, the keyboard's connection needs to be reset. This is an awkward procedure involving removing the BT dongle and hitting the red reconnect button on the back of ...
Summary: i bought this mouse/keyboard combo on 4/8/2011, i have only had to replace the 4 AA batteries in the keyboard twice, easily get 6+ months out of the batteries with daily use, mouse lasts 7+ days on a single charge with frequent daily use.
Pros: Bluetooth wireless, rechargeable mouse battery, very long life keyboard battery utilization
Cons: i did have to have the keyboard replaced once during the first year, under warranty because the lcd screen stopped working. had to ship entire kit to Logitech with a return shipping label they provided, leaving me using my old wired keyboard/mouse while i waited.
Summary: If you have a PC with bluetooth and don';t want to use the dongle, just make sure you got good drivers for your bluetooth if you are using windows 7 and below. Tip: Connect the dongle first, let windows automatically configure its drivers and then unplug it.
Pros: I've had my Mouse for over 2 years now. It works great, even without the dongle (As long as your pc has bluetooth). Haven't been disappointed yet. i guess you get what you paid for. The best thing about it, definitely the mouse. Very ergonomic and kind to your hand and the only reason I would buy...
Cons: The pack is still a little expensive. The keyboard it's okay, not the best one I've used. I gave the keyboard away (as you can see by my pros comment), don't miss it. Although it's nice when it tells you the temperature and how many new emails you got. I am more of a mechanical keyboard kind of guy.
Summary: Excellent combo especially if you need long range for your kb/mouse.
Pros: Bluetooth works great, you can use either the included adapter or if you PC already has Bluetooth, you can utilize it instead. We have three of these that we use on the HTPC's hooked up to various TV's, and the range is great. Much better than normal wireless kb/mouse combos. The keyboard has a g...
Cons: Mouse charging cradle is a bit picky, if you don't drop it in "just right", it won't charge. Price. Although I have not had any issue with this unit, I did have to contact Logitech support recently for another product. Let's just say Logitech support isn't what is used to be -- Very disappointed.
Pros: Keyboard - soft keystrokes, sturdy feeling, looks good, displaying incoming emails when connected to outlook, shows room temp. 4 AA batteries - enough for at least 2+ month of reg usage,
Cons: mouse is a bit heavy but sturdy, laser - definitely not for FPS games - lags a bit, but fits for strategies and casual games, 4 eggs only because of this, otherwise perfect set, no backlight - but cmon ,its wireless
Summary: Basically it is good for what it is, but I think I would prefer a wired keyboard and non-bluetooth wireless mouse in my set up. I gave up on the KVM, opting for VNC instead, and that limits some of what I can do.
Pros: (Warning: I am not a gamer!) I really like the look and feel; very customizeable for a non-gaming board. Long battery life and pretty good action on the keyboard.
Cons: I only have 2 issues with this set- (1) The range on this is pretty awful. I lose connection unless I put the dongle on a usb extension cable and hang it on the back of my monitor on the mouse side. (2) Also, I had the bright idea to plug this into a KVM to split between a UNIX and windows system...
Summary: This keyboard has survived some very heavy use (often in gaming). Despite the few disconnects, I'd still recommend it.
Pros: This keyboard has lasted over 3 years and still works well. It looks great, and has some useful extra functions. It's also pretty easy to take apart and clean out from the inside. The mouse is really great too, the above also applies to it (minus it being easy to take apart).
Cons: Like most wireless keyboards and mice, this combo will occasionally lose connectivity. It is really frustrating when this happens, but corrects itself after a little while. It also (thankfully) doesn't happen very frequently. Also, I'm still disappointed as to the lack of LCD screen mods. Don't e...
Pros: The mouse design is very nice on the hands when you are doing lots of work behind the PC. I use my PC for design which takes up a lot of my time. The keyboard is also designed well and comfortable for work. The key strokes are so soft. No hard clicking. LCD screen displays various information dep...
Cons: The only con that i have is the frequent interference between my wifi and the bluetooth. The mouse sometimes is unresponsive or slow to transmit the movement that is being done
Summary: For my purposes, the mouse was very under-functional. Very few, and very limited customization options. I expected this, and mostly bought this for the keyboard, as I already had a Logitech G700, which I love and now have this basic one as backup while the G700 charges.
Pros: The keyboard is great. I'm a gamer so I was concerned with latency, which so long as the receiver is in a good place, there is zero issue. I don't have space for an actual desk, so I have a tower I put together hooked up to my TV, and then just the keyboard and mouse on my couch. Very light, comf...
Cons: Not really a con, but it's making me fill this in with something. In comparison to the keyboard, the mouse has no where near the functionality, or customization.
Pros: Quality, rechargeable mouse, bluetooth that works. Does not require line of sight like other bluetooth transmitters, and receivers. Unlike the prior MX5000 (which I own 2), it has a lot of bugs and issues. This MX 5500 solved all those issues and provide a much better bluetooth experience. When p...
Cons: Eventually the rechargeable mouse battery (encased without proper access) will be work out. Replacement is not serviceable without breaking it apart
