    This keyboard and mouse combo is really a great set.  For under $100CDN you get a wireless laser mouse and a great wireless keyboard.  The MX1000 mouse still costs around $100CDN in retail stores, and the MX600 is based on the same engine and has a couple more buttons.  The mouse tracks very well on virtually every surface I tested.  As far as the keyboard goes, it's wonderful.  It has very smooth and quiet action and feels super soft to the touch.  Even though...     There is a saying I use when I am taking on any task; Work smarter, not harder. This keyboard and mouse make that an absolute. As stated at the beginning of this review my personal choice to buy Logitech has kept me going back to them for my last 4 mouse purchases. If I had never purchased one of their products before, this set would certainly have made me a customer.     This is the first wireless keyboard/mouse set I've every used and have been using it for a month. I got this as a gift so I didn't pick this set, but then, I've never shopped for a keyboard before so I wouldn't have known to watch out for these quirks. Using only the basic keyboards that came with computers, I assumed all keyboards had the same basic layout and features.     The title pretty much sums it up. It seems even when using alkaline (although I admit not the best/highest capacity) the keyboard, which only takes 2 AAs does not hold up very well - as little as a few days and it starts missing keystrokes. The mouse on the other hand works perfectly with NIMH rechargeables and the ergonomic design is very comfortable. I now use a wired keyboard with the mouse.
