Very Confusing to Get Started

Excerpt: While the product is nice, it's being able to get started that is horrible. This product comes with a booklet that makes no sense (one language is not together) and there are absolutely NO instructions on how to get started with the product. After trying to load the CD (to no avail) and changing out the batteries (to no avail), had to call in the IT Department. After some time they finally found, within the mouse (between the batteries) a little USB.
Summary: Been using this a couple of weeks now - the keyboard combines the flat key nature of a laptop keyboard with the rugged stability of a desktop keyboard. The mouse is compact and comfortable, and includes storage for the USB dongle. There is a power off on the mouse, and the keyboard switches off automatically. Got it working on Windows 8.1 (on a Lenovo Yoga) within a few minutes quite easily.
Nice keyboard, but takes a little while to get ...

Summary: Nice keyboard, but takes a little while to get used to it. The keys have the same throw as the Thinkpad laptop, but not the same quality (I always use the thinkpad chicklet keyboard as the benchmark). The keys are a tiny bit stiff and softer than the thinkpad so it does not give you the same comfort and typing speed as tying on the laptop, but once you get used to it you won't feel the difference. Other than that, it is perfect and I am happy with the purchase. And oh!

Summary: This keyboard is inconsistent - it would be great if each time you pressed the "soft touch" keys they actually worked but they don't. The backspace works less than frequently, the shift keys aren't much better. Almost all keys quite often need to be touched hard twice or more. Mouse is slightly better. Shame - I had one of these previously and it worked like a dream. After a day of using it today my hands ache.
A lenovo product that cannot connect to another lenovo product

Summary: Took best part of two hours and several calls to service support to realise it was not compatible. Why? I don't know. I sent it back. The Microsoft one I bought worked perfectly and connected itself immediately.
Summary: As was expecting a new Lenovo laptop I thought I would treat myself with this keyboard and mouse combo. I have to say I have not regretted that for a second. They never drop signal and are a pleasure to use. Quality is right up there and I have no doubt that I will have years of uninterrupted use of them.
