Lenovo multimedia keyboard...FAIL

  • Summary: Wish they worked Because I liked the idea of them and was very functional for the short time they were working. Next time I buy from NewEgg!
  • Pros: Ergonomic. Compact. Practical.
  • Cons: JUNK! Bought TWO of these at a big box retailer in Las Vegas when there for a trip. BOTH FAILED EXACTLY the same way within 2 weeks of using them after I got home! It was so confusing ...BOTH started acting weird and intermittent around the same time and it was frustrating to diagnose the problem...

Bad for HTPC

  • Summary: Skip this. It'd be OK if it had a backlight.
  • Pros: Trackball is pretty comfortable to use. Pretty solid. RF "just worked".
  • Cons: No backlight means this is the wrong device for HTPC. My 40yr old eyes need strong direct light to see the low-contrast print on these tiny keys. No scrollwheel. You'll miss it more than you think.

  • Summary: Lesson learned. I will never do business with Lenovo again and I will make sure my company never deals with them either. Looking online it doesn't appear I am the only one either. It seems they are known for their horrible customer service and return policy.
  • Pros: None so far
  • Cons: I was shipped a defective product I purchased directly from Lenovo. Many of the keys didn't work and the trackball was so loose you couldn't keep the mouse cursor in place without keeping a finger on it constantly. Their customer service leaves much to be desired.
