Summary: This scan is a great product... When it is working... I've used it for about 3 months and didn't have any problem. But one day I had a power outage in the house. The power came back in a minute but the scan was dead. I've got an error message that the connection is bad, then I've re-install the software a few times. The installation run successfully but the scanner is still not working. Now I have an error that the ini file is missing.
Summary: Edited to add 11/11/2013: 5 out of 10 are defective in some way. 50% reliability. One scanner worked for a month and got a scratch on the scan plate, putting a black stripe on every scanned document. Warranty? no such thing. =========================================================== Our corporate headquarters decreed that every staff accountant was to be "gifted" with one of these keyboard scanners. I dutifully ordered nine of these for our branch office.
It was OK initially but they don't stand behind their product

Summary: I was quite excited about this product when I first saw it although I admit I thought the software included with it had a pretty cheesy interface. Tech support was fairly responsive until I got to a point where it appears the scanner had a dead pixel or two on it. At first I thought it was dirt on the scanner glass and given that the feed mechanism is removable to allow access to the scanner surface figured it would be easy to resolve.
Summary: This seems like a good idea, but it doesn't work that well. The keyboard is cheap. The scanner works ok once you get it setup, however the software is pretty old. They also make you keep a registration key for it, which is pretty lame given the software will only work with their keyboards. If you do get it, I had better luck with the software by copying the setup to the desktop and running it from there.
Cons: The software is outdated and not user friendly and the sometimes some of the keys won't work until you reconnect it
