Pillsbury biscuits can only aspire to this level of flakiness

Summary: Edited to add 11/11/2013: 5 out of 10 are defective in some way. 50% reliability. One scanner worked for a month and got a scratch on the scan plate, putting a black stripe on every scanned document. Warranty? no such thing. =========================================================== Our corporate headquarters decreed that every staff accountant was to be "gifted" with one of these keyboard scanners. I dutifully ordered nine of these for our branch office.
Summary: We ordered 25 keyscans from this company. So far. we have three will either not type at all, have some letters that won't type or just won't connect. We discovered the issues within 30 days. But, because they were purchased 10 days before we received them, this company told me they wouldn't take them back. Reputable companies work with customers regardless of some poorly thought out return policy. This is not a company like that.
Summary: Even after successful installs (as administrator) calibration fails, program crashes. I have gotten these to work in the past, they work for a little while then start crashing whenever opening the application. Support is of no help and their software hasn't been updated since 2011, so it doesn't look like they will be fixing this.
Summary: This scanner/keyboard was purchased for use in my office. My receptionist used it very begrudgingly because all of the scanned documents looked dark with a blue hue. It is now in my closet. We bought a different unit -- Mellony purchased it on her own through Amazon and this one works great. I reimbursed her for it but I am not able to return the Keyscan unit due to having waited too long. What a waste of money.
Did not function and Amazon has not addressed my issue with the return.

Summary: This product was not able to be loaded either by way of CD or online download. Spent several hours with representative from Keyscan and still not able to use. I have requested weeks ago that Amazon pick the item up. I still have it at my desk and no return label yet.
Summary: I've bought 5 keyboards Keyscan KS810-P for my admin. dpt, and 3 of them produce bad images; a grey stripe along all the pages scanned. I've tried to clean them with no success. Just use them as simple keyboard.
Summary: I purchased one of these keyboards at a box store. When I hooked it up to my computer the keyboard worked immediately. I wish I could say the same thing for the scanner. I tried to calibrate it using a half a dozen different sheets of paper only to get the same error message over and over. I then went to their website and tried to troubleshoot the problem. Nothing addressed the issue in a way that I hadn't already done it.
Summary: I work in IT, and unfortunately one of the department of the company I work for decided to buy 4 of these keyboards. We followed the installation instructions, yet the installation failed, the dreaded "scan calibration failed". After hours of tinkering, we finally got the scanners working, only for them to fail again a few weeks later. Save yourself the hassle and buy a real scanner.
Summary: My experience started with the driver not loading properly. Then if you look at the readme file it tells you how to fix their poorly written driver...which comes way after you are already frustrated. Then the actual scanner feeds improperly or not at all. I was looking forward to using this product, but it's unreliability made it impossible to roll out to the rest of my company. I went with the NEAT scanner, which is more expensive, but soooo much better!
