Junk... Just junk

IRIS I., Newegg
5 March 2012
  • Summary: Look elsewhere
  • Pros: Looks OK.
  • Cons: Just as the title says, this is junk. I got the P20MT with a presenter mouse, and the HTPC Keyboard. Random keys not working from the second I turned it on. Cheap plastic. Poor construction throughout (battery holders are very bad).

Good, at first

Sean H., Newegg
8 July 2007
  • Pros: I like this keyboard because it's small and no nonsense. Worked great for 1 year.
  • Cons: After 1 year (right when the warranty expired - of course) it started workin very sporadically. At this point it RARELY works. Everytime I boot up the HTPC, I have to struggle with getting the keyboard to connect to the receiver. Maybe 1 out of 10 times, it will work, if I'm lucky. Of course, thi...

Does its job well.

Anonymous, Newegg
10 June 2007
  • Summary: Makes a wonderfully simple HTPC keyboard. I wouldn't use it all the time, but for when you need something just between a keyboard and a remote, but with a full keyboard, this is great.
  • Pros: Good range, low vulnerability to interference. No drivers or special software required for Windows or Linux, USB extension cable and batteries included, simple, no-frills. Good battery life.
  • Cons: The joystick-mouse and odd placement of the Fn key take some getting used to. Feels fairly flimsy, but hasn't broken. No scroll-wheel or equivalent.

Good

Kale W., Newegg
7 June 2007
  • Summary: Vista Ultimate 64, AMD Athlon X2 4600+, 2 Gig DDR800 G.Skill RAM, 500 Gig Samsung Spinpoint HDD, Saphire ATI 512 MB Graphics, Avermedia PCIe Combo Tuner, nMedia HTPC 200 case
  • Pros: Nice light thin keyboard with joystick mouse. Easy connection with its dongle.
  • Cons: Sometimes a little jumpy mouse depending on how well it feels it should be connected. In other words...wishy-washy connectivity.

Works out of the Box

Anonymous, Newegg
4 June 2007
  • Summary: I haven't had the keyboard for that long yet, and haven't really tested it more then 4ft away from the system.
  • Pros: I bought this for my linux based media center, and it worked right out of the box. The keying works fine, no signal drop. I was able to plug this directly into the USB port before installing the OS, and it worked just like a corded keyboard and mouse.
  • Cons: none yet

Wow! Absolutely terrible!

Kevin G., Newegg
24 May 2007
  • Summary: Terrible. Awful. Garbage. I have many other thoughts, but you get the idea.
  • Pros: Nice, simple design. Exactly what I wanted.
  • Cons: It basically doesn't work. Sometimes it'll work from about 7 feet away. Right now, I literally have the USB extension and the reciever on my coffee table, and I have to hold the keyboard anywhere from 2 feet to about 8 inches away, or it won't work. What a HUGE waste of money and time. I live in ...
