Broken when I got it

Stephanie J., Newegg
22 May 2013
  • Summary: Was not happy about getting a broken keyboard just out of the box. I love'd the layout at work, and wanted one at home too. It's cheap enough that it doesn't seem worth it to send back to get another one, if I can buy one from a different place for the same or less hassle to return and get a new one. Pretty sad about this because NewEgg is a favorite shopping place for my family. NewEgg does a good job in other products, I'll keep them in mind for when I need them.
  • Pros: Great shape, loved the layout. Shipping was fast and great.
  • Cons: Was broken when I got it. The keys q-p and 8 and 7 didn't work.

Price isn't everything

Tom A., Newegg
20 September 2012
  • Pros: Price was right, I bought 4 for our computer learning center.
  • Cons: Space bar is too small. Other special keys are not laid out the way they are on normal keyboards. We, and our students couldn't get used to the keyboard layout, that's why we gave them to Goodwill after less than 6 months. Kept the mice but having problems with the wheel on one of them.

It works

Paul S., Newegg
28 June 2011
  • Summary: I bought this for my test stand and it will do what it was bought for.
  • Pros: The nicest thing I can say about the keyboard is that it works. The thing wouldn;t be to bad if the space bar was wider and could be used with your right hand. The mouse is ok
  • Cons: You won't be doing any speedy typing on this thing. It feels cheesy

Flimsy

Patrick L., Newegg
13 July 2009
  • Summary: For a friend's build, so not the end of the world. At least I don't have to use it all the time.
  • Pros: Cheap, bundled package. I bought because it was the cheapest thing with no shipping.
  • Cons: You get what you pay for. Everything is really light weight and just not sturdy.

Worst Keyboard Ever

Jonathan D., Newegg
8 July 2009
  • Summary: Just don't buy it.
  • Pros: Cheap.
  • Cons: The backspace key is very small, and the home key is adjacent. The keys have no travel, and are very uncomfortable. The mouse is also of very poor quality. The scroll wheel moves at random, and is impossible to control, and single clicks are sometimes doubled.

Mouse is great, keyboard dead

Danny W., Newegg
21 April 2008
  • Summary: Overall, had the keyboard worked I would have been satisfied with the package deal. Unfortunately they sent me what appears to be a DOA keyboard even though it says it passed QC 11/2007 and the box shows no signs of visible damage. The saving grace of this is the mouse, which is a really great gaming mouse for a budget buyer.
  • Pros: The mouse is great. Lightweight, smooth movement, mouse wheel slides easily and the mouse clicks are really responsive. Overall this is probably the best mouse I have owned for such a cheap price. Id buy the set again just for another mouse.
  • Cons: The keyboard doesn't work. I'm not sure if this is a vista compatibility problem or not, as I have tried it on multiple computers all of which are running Vista Ultimate 32bit and it doesn't work on any of them, in fact when booting if I have this thing plugged in it causes the computer to take about an hour to boot. The keystroke return is also kind of clunky, I wouldn't recommend the keyboard.
