Summary: After installing Windows 8 I attempted to install the ZEngine and midway though the setup the system would stop with a Violation error and reboot. I contacted Steelseries support and received this. William, Unfortunately the entire line of ZEngine devices (Merc, Merc Stealth and Zboard) are incompatible with Windows 8. The software is licensed to us and because of this will not be remade for Windows 8. ZEngine is still fully compatible with all other versions of Windows.
Summary: The Merc stealth is in my oppinion the best gaming console out there. For me there were two main insentives for buying this device. First was the built in gaming pad, second was the backlit keyboard. Now I already owned the Ideazon Fang gamepad and I had nothing but love for how it enhanced my gameplay, so when I found out that there was a kepboard with the gamepad built in I was estatic. The pros: The buit in gamepad is ergonomically designed and fits the hand well.
Summary: I bought this keyboard to play games easier. It definitely does that. The software comes with a HUGE number of presets. You just select the game and jump in. Even better, it has a setting to detect the game and it switches the controls automatically! The only downsides to this otherwise awesome keyboard is the fact that in order to use the following keys:(Find, Home, PgUp, My Comp, Ins, End, PgDn, Show Desk, Del, Cut, Copy, Paste), you have to turn off numlock and the...

Summary: I am not Role-Player and only occasionally play FPS games. I bought the keyboard for the fully customizable keys to help in my playing of IL-2 1946. It has but it could have been so much better. The gaming keypad to the left of the keyboard are great, Idealzon did an excellent job of trying to make the keys fit all hands, (personally, I wish the #3 key was a bit more to the right or the #4 key was a bit more to the left, but that is a minor point), and for designing it...
Summary: I'm a big fan of Ideazon products. I previously owned their Zboard, but had some problems with it. The Merc Stealth, though, that solves all the problems I had and then some. On the positive side of things, the keyboard is responsive, with solid keys and good action. A complete, full-sized QWERTY board sits next to a pad of game specific keys, allowing easy transition from gaming to typing without any problems.

Summary: great keyboard, it takes a while to get used to the game pad , but you will --the illumination is awesome, the only con i see is the merged numeric pad with the navigation pad, you have to be activating and deactivating the block if you wanna use one or the other, a little annoying if are accustomed to delete files with the DEL key and type numbers with that numeric pad.but i think you will get used to it too.
If you want a top notch gaming keyboard, look no further.

Summary: As a former avid MMO player, I purchased the Merc Stealth about 6 months ago hoping to expand my key-bind options for games that require a ton of buttons. I was immediately drawn to the left side of this keyboard and the brilliant consolidation of buttons within reach of my left hand, which seemed obvious and yet strange no one else was doing.
Summary: I've had the Merc Stealth for about a year now, and I love it. I found the gaming keys to suit my hand perfectly, with the addition of a Fellowes gel wrist rest (a wrist rest for a MOUSE fits the gaming keys perfectly). I've tried a couple of the dedicated gaming devices such as the Belkin Nostromo n52 and I couldn't get comfortable but the MERC is great - I suspect this is hit or miss depending on the shape of your hand, so YMMV. Regular keyboard use is pretty good.
Summary: I wanted this keyboard to play a few games, WOW, being one of them. The keyboard takes some getting used to. You have to use more force to type and the normal keyboard part is not so normal. As for the gaming keypad, the main problem I have is the keys are too close together. I am a woman with average sized hands. A man with larger hands would have a real problem.
Summary: Just received this keyboard, setup was easy took a little time to install its drivers. Love the illuminated keys can't believe how something so simple would make typing so much more enjoyable. Read where some people did not like the spacing of the keys, I found no problem with the spacing and really like the response from the keys. The only issue that I have is that I run five PC's off of one monitor, keyboard and mouse using a KVM switch.
