Excerpt: Very happy with the keyboard. Really happy about the silicon cover. Only problem is it does seem to have an issue with lower end computers/laptops which registers mute/unmute presses after a short while. Unplug and plug it in again and no issues further for the day. Have noticed this only on Dell Laptops (General office standard), whereas on my ASUS development laptop which is in actual fact a gaming machine, it stays connected and active for a week without giving the...
Excerpt: I am really disappointed in this keyboard. The touch interface for volume control is way too sensitive. It works fine for about an hour then the keyboard starts to mute and unmute uncontrollably. Only way around this is to disable the human interface devices in device management. This however, renders all the other keys inert. The features that makes this keyboard a gaming keyboard will be disabled making it very expensive office keyboard with pretty lights.
Summary: Aside from this, the keyboard has a seriously large footprint, and the macro keys are really hard to hit from the WASD position.
Pros: The keyboard feels great to use, the keys are responsive, and the wrist rest is comfortable. The keys have a nice clacky sound that I like.
Cons: The volume controls randomly trigger. It's usually the keyboard muting your volume, which can get really frustrating if you're in the middle of a game, which is unfortunate since this is supposed to be a gaming keyboard. Gigabyte doesn't seem to care; if you search their official forums, you can see threads people have started 9 months ago, with no official response.
Pros: the pros on this keyboard are the antighosting features, macros and to me the wrist rest.
Cons: The cons, or con rather, certainly outweighed the pros. My keyboard multimedia keys were certainly way to sensitive but they began randomly activating without human interaction. This would mute/unmute, play/pause/stop, and increase/decrease volume at any given moment and eventually got so frequent it rendered my keyboard useless because i couldnt listen to any audio without interference.
Pros: This keyboard is amazing in it's functionality, and the back lite keys are a really nice addition. For anybody that uses macros frequently, the five macro keys, and free macro software is awesome. The two USB 2.0 ports (one on either side) are one of my favorite features, having the spare WASD keys will be nice since I play a lot of games that use those 4 as movement keys.
Cons: I don't know if I just got a faulty keyboard, or if the software is just messing up, but the built in audio features (mainly the mute) keep going off every now and then, It's more of an annoyance than a major problem, so only 1 egg of for that.
Pros: All the keys repsond well, programming software works well, rubber cover helps to keep liquids, dust, and solids out, USB ports on the side work weel, as well as the macro keys and audio controls.
Cons: Glossy finish leaves fingerprints, bottom accessory to the keyboard was annoying, but was easy to take off.
Pros: The look and feel of this keyboard are really good. It feels solid and is comfortable to type on. It comes in a pretty slick package, and mostly does what it claims to do. Back-lighting is a nice feature.
Cons: The quality is lacking in some areas. The volume control on the keyboard does not work, the blue mode indicator led burned out after about three months, and the palm rest feels as if it were merely cheap plastic- because it is.
