Summary: Update - Ordered two one was bad. Attempted to do an RMA shipping label. Wanted over $18. Made no sense to pay $18 to get a replacement. Another order came in different item. Was not a new item, was very upset and decided to call asking whats going on.
Pros: Features on this keyboard are great. Very glad I purchased two.
Summary: I have 3 computers in my home. I build and program my own computers. I buy my parts and software from Newegg as they are the best. I pray the second keyboard I purchased works as it has not yet arrived.
Pros: Many features. It's a Gigabyte which as far as I'm concerned says everything. Have had nothing but success with Gigabyte till now. Was so impressed with it's features I purchased a second one before even trying it out.
Cons: All of the keys do not work. At first I thought my PC was failing because I had trouble starting and some programs wouldn't work. So I put my Logitech keyboard back on. All of the problems I was having turned out to be the new keyboard. Some keys do not work at all and some are intermittent. Very...
Summary: Smaller than my last keyboard by a good 2-3 inches, will take some getting used to. Keys are also somewhat rearranged differently, not really a pro or con though. Not a con for me, but there is no key lighting, if you are used to that sort of thing.
Pros: Works fine, no missing keys or anything like that. Build quality seems pretty good for so cheap. Volume knob is a neat little feature as well.
Cons: Backspace key is small, can take some getting used to. USB power cable is a bit on the short end as well.
Pros: Great keyboard. The volume knob on the top right is awesome. Going from this to a keyboard without it is the worst. I've been using this keyboard for two years. None of the letters have worn off. Pop the keys off, throw them in the dish washer, keyboard is good for another 2 years.
Cons: No backlight. Backspace is tiny. Keyboard is a little bit on the large side
Cons: most of the media keys do not work. there is no driver download from gigabyte, and no way to program the ones that dont work. Sometimes they work then wont and change what they do their is no way of knowing what they will do
Summary: This is a re-write. After calming down and taking a "chill pill" ie: beer, I realized I needed to actually review the product. Gigabyte, you guys make wonderful motherboards, I've never had an issue with them and my current one is going strong 6+ years now. Don't quit your day job though.
Pros: Very nice looking, stupid to say but that was the first thing that attracted me to this product. Original keyboard is an $8 cheap-o which gets the job done but the added features like volume wheel, etc and the price I was sold.
Cons: Both keyboards (I ordered 2) were uneven, like the plastic was warped. Each one would wobble while typing, extending the feet did nothing. The keys are recessed further down than I'm used to resulting in wrist pain after prolonged use. The USB cord is very short by comparison to other keyboards t...
Summary: Bought this back in 2010 while building my PC. Stayed strong until 2013 when I spilled water on it... After that it didn't want to work. A few months ago, I figured I'd give it another try, and lo and behold, it works just as well as the day I bought it.
Pros: Cheap Volume Control and media buttons. Keyboard LED lights match the LEDs in my PC case
Cons: Maybe its weight and size... but you get used to it rather quickly.
