A very good product

Walmart
22 June 2010
  • Summary: I bought this because the mouse on the previous wireless combo stopped working. This one is far better than the first. Keyboard is quiet and the mouse is responsive.

Stylish and solid - HTPC keyboard

Anonymous, Newegg
22 June 2010
  • Summary: Bought this a couple of years ago when I built a Windows Media Center and it's worked pretty much flawlessly aside from that mute key. The shape makes it easy to grab or throw in a drawer, and the media keys work perfectly with both WMP and Media Center.
  • Pros: Great look, slim and easy to store, durable, good range, mouse works on a variety of surfaces, like the leather couch, excellent battery life.
  • Cons: Odd button placement - had to get used to grabbing it a certain way to keep from pressing the side convenience media keys when picking it up. Mute key spring seems to have been weak from day one, but still worked fine.

Nice Cheap solution for HTPC

michael b., Newegg
3 September 2009
  • Summary: was looking at integrated keyboard+mouse solutions, but decided that this price was just too good. the keyboard looks and feels nice in the hands, and the mouse is awesome. My use model is of course is much less intense than some of the others who wrote reviews for this.
  • Pros: - keyboard and mouse feel good - works from across the room - works out of the box with ubuntu 9.0.4
  • Cons: none

VERY NICE!!!!

Chris C., Newegg
2 September 2009
  • Summary: I have not lost connectivity yet, the mouse is very nice and always accurate with no lag for games.
  • Pros: Keys touch smooth, coming from an ergonomic keyboard, it was hard to get used to the flat keys. The mouse is very smooth and has good weight, the speed button is a nice touch.
  • Cons: Calculator button isn't by the keypad, the keys are quiet aside from the space bar, the forward and backward button was the reason I bought it for music.

No better wireless combo for the price

Christopher B., Newegg
31 August 2009
  • Summary: This thing is great! I was very much expecting it to be DOA or at least flimsy when I got it but not so! This thing has been working nearly flawlessly for a good 6 months now with zero major complaints.
  • Pros: Lightweight, compact, relatively sturdy, great battery life, comfortable to type on, low latency for a wireless keyboard
  • Cons: The only negative with this keyboard I've found is the range. Not that the range is terrible, but I use this set for an HTPC and I occasionally experience a dip in responsiveness when I'm sitting at the farthest corner of my couch which is a good 12-15 feet from my CPU.

Dud

23 August 2009
  • Summary: Some people mentioned having problems getting the keyboard to transmit over a modest distance...I believe it has to do with the surface that the keyboard is on. Glass tables and laps are not very good surfaces for the transmitter. I don't know if this counts as a con.
  • Pros: Keyboard is slim, light, and feels fine to the touch. Size allows it to be stored away easily, and USB adapter is nice and small. It does what it should, it's just a question of how long it will work...
  • Cons: This keyboad and mouse combo will not last very long. My mouse failed to work properly within one month of purchase (the mouse kept sending right mouse button depressed signals continually). My keyboard finally stopped responding about 6 months in. The computer definitely recognizes that the adap...

Get what you pay for.

Anonymous, Newegg
14 August 2009
  • Pros: For the price I paid it works well enough.
  • Cons: Doesn't have lights for if the CAPS/NUM lock is on. The range is horrible and takes longer than necessary to "reconnect" to the receiver when it goes out of range.

User Review

Anonymous, Newegg
10 August 2009
  • Summary: Better than I expected for $35.
  • Pros: Good key feel, cost
  • Cons: Flimsy keys, they are easily "tweaked" which will cause them to bind and stick. This is only true on the larger keys ie enter, shift. I have one keyboard with both shifts and the enter key tweaked, my lesser used one is still fine. Not a huge deal, but don't ever hit or drop this keyboard.. or ty...
