Summary: Just received this mechanical keyboard today. Got the MAC version and it looks great out of the box. The black has the great piano gloss shine. Color matches the bezel of the Apple thunderbolt display quit well. It does attract dust almost immediately after I removed the shipping plastic. Setup with the Macbook Pro was easy. Two punches of the keys next to shift registered the DAS to the MAC. All the special functions like volume, play, sleep and mute worked.
Don't let the "refurbished" title worry you, TAKE THE DEAL!

Summary: I received this keyboard a couple days ago. It was a gift, so it won't show up as a verified purchase, because it was not purchased on this account. I've been eying a mechanical keyboard for a long time. In my profession I work with macs, so I use them at home too, however the annoying chicklet style keyboards that macs come with really bother me. I do not like them.
Summary: I have had cherry mx black keys on my Deck Legend. I have not done hardcore MMO gaming yet but they feel the MX red are. smoother then the black. I would recommend this keyboard to anyone that is on the fence for 150 bucks.
Summary: My name is Jerry (AKA: Barnacules) and I produce the Barnacules Nerdgasm technology and gaming YouTube channel (http://youtube.com/barnacules1). I have been a huge fan of dasKeyboard and this was the 4th keyboard I have purchased from them. I have 2 keyboards with Cherry MX Browns, 1 keyboard with Cherry MX Blue's and now this new keyboard with Cherry MX Red's and I must say it is very quiet (about half the noise from typing as the Silent model with brown switches).
Tale of two keyboards... actually, several keyboards

Summary: Summary: I realized after writing the following review, which imho is interesting and should be read, that some may want to cut to the chase. Both the Das Keyboard Professional Keyboard with Quiet Keys and the Das Keyboard Model S Professional Click Pressure Point Mechanical Keyboard are outstanding and easily the best keyboards I've used. The Quiet version feels every bit as responsive as the Clicky model and doesn't make as much noise.
Summary: This is hands down the best keyboard I have ever owned. If you are switching from a non-mechanical keyboard to a mechanical you will be blown away. If you are looking for simplicity then you should look no further. Besides the two side usb ports there is nothing fancy on this keyboard. It is just the keyboard and all the keys feel perfect from the moment you buy it too a year later when you are still in awe.
Wow, what a difference from non-mechanical keyboards!

Summary: I have a small business involving typing everyday. This is the best keyboard I have ever used. The feedback is excellent, as is the feel of the keys. I'm already typing faster. Even though it's expensive, if you can afford it, the Das keyboard is well worth the price. There was a short period getting used to it as I'd been using an ergonomic keyboard, but it was negligent.
