I would get another in a blink.

  • Summary: I like the Das. The first one I received had a defective key, so I returned it and was sent a replacement, which has performed flawlessly in the month I've had it. I use it only for light to medium tasks like emailing and occasional letters but I know if I put heavy demands on it, the keyboard would deliver.

  • Excerpt: I am old enough to have used the original IBM model M keyboard along with the three button-ed Sun Microsystems mice on some "classic" machines at the local university. I, also, fondly remember the slew of keyboards and mice that came out in the late 90s when computers started to gain popularity....

  • Excerpt: Lets get the bad things first; it's heavy, clunky, no ergonomics whatsoever, über expensive and makes incredible amount of noise (even the silent version). And yet, I'm feeling bad typing with anything else than that keyboard. The only thing that goes into your mind while you type is...

  • Excerpt: I've had this keyboard for over three years and have used it with two desktops (Windows) and a laptop (Apple MacBook Pro). Still as solid and joyful to use as the day I took it out of the box.

  • Excerpt: Great sounding keyboard, if you like the loud and mechanical sound. Types great. Really long cable. Each individual key is removable. Can get dirty easily with its semi-glossy finish. Get a lot of comments (both positive and negative).

  • Excerpt: I wanted a solid keyboard that wasn't cheap or plasticy feeling that would emulate the old IBM keyboards, but something with a windows key. The das keyboard fits the bill, no gimmicks, just a good typing experience. If you want a quiet keyboard, this isn't the keyboard for you. You will hear the...

  • Excerpt: I started looking at mechanical keyboards when I started playing StarCraft II. I had heard that the StarCraft pros really liked certain keyboards, but I couldn't tell the difference between keyboards. I knew that I liked typing on "clicky" keyboards, but I never gave it much more thought than...

Excellent Keyboard

  • Summary: I use this keyboard for both work and other computing tasks including games. I basically type nonstop for at least 8 hours a day in my job as a medical transcriptionist. I am always looking for great keyboards to enhance my production and this one shines in that regard. I like its rugged construction and size, being that it is a standard size, and I have big hands.
  • Pros: Comfortable Design, Highly Compatible, Reliable Performance
