Summary: I tried the K95 along side the G510s. I'm keeping the G510s, assuming I can find one that's 100% function, but that's another review... This keyboard is nice, outside of a few flaws. #1 - The keyboard is bright. At it's lowest, non-off setting, it's still too bright for my tastes, and is brighter than my calibrated screen. #2- The wrist rest is much too short for my hands. It's pretty useless for me.
Summary: Everything about this keyboard is good, but it is expected since it's not exactly cheap. So why 3 stars? Because when the leg extensions are in, the keyboard doesn't sit flat on my table. So it kind of rocks back and forth between the upper left corner and the lower right corner - rather annoying...
Summary: I waited for the K95 because I wanted mechanical macro keys... However, I'm not a fan of this particular mechanical switch because its too sensitive... Just brushing the keys registers as a stroke. Since I type by feel, this results in a lot of back spacing. Wound up giving this to a friend and going back to my unicomp mechanical.
Summary: Here's my Pro's and Con's after 1 day of use: Pros: 1. MOST of the keyboard is aluminum. 2. It feels as nice as it looks. 3. The keys have a perfect feel/grip to them. 4. Media control buttons. 5. Macros I could go on with the Pros, but other reviewers have done that, I want to focus more on the cons. Cons: 1.
Summary: For $150.00 for a keyboard you expect the best, and you get a good product. Just not a $150.00 product. Pros: Keys feel great. Software is intuitive. Individual key lighting. Bios switch is very useful for the many motherboards that do not/cannot support high frequency keyboards. Even motherboards with UEFI have issues. Volume adjust is very sturdy feeling. Hand rest is soft. Cons: Not all the keys have even lighting even though each of them have their own light source.
Summary: I bought this keyboard hoping for an upgrade over my current G510. I mainly wanted it as a gaming keyboard for MMO and FPS games. It's well built, nice to look at and the key presses make a satisfying noise when you press them (love this keyboard for typing) but ultimately to me it's a downgrade from my old keyboard.
