Summary: When I got the kb, everything was great. Cherry red sw is good for gaming although typing is a nightmare due to low pressure required. The quality and feel of the kb is great, something I can expect out of a corsair product. However, it has been 6 months and currently 13 keys have lost its led. There is no correlation between the led that is lost and the intensity of usage. For e.g, some numpad keys have also lost their leds which I hardly use.
Summary: Miss the clickety clack of your old-time IBM keyboard? Well, this one isn't as loud as that, but it's sure a lot prettier. ;) Utilizing Cherry MX red switches which have a very low actuation point, this keyboard is fantastic for the gamer in your life. Assuming they aren't using it while you're trying to sleep. If that's the case, you might check out the Corsair K70 that has Cherry MX brown switches, which are significantly quieter.
Precise and solid feel to keys; doesn't tolerate "lazy fingers" well, not recommended if you partially press keys a lot

Summary: I wanted to try this mechanical switch keyboard after using membrane-type switch keyboards for a long time. There was a break-in time required for me to adjust my typing style, as the keys actuate differently enough that some bad habits had to be broken, like letting my fingers rest lightly on the keys and partially depressing them. That is a minor issue, quickly resolved.
Summary: It's been 3 months now that I have a K70. And so far, so good. Indeed the USB port in the back is pretty useful. The fact that it lights up is what I bought it for AND the typing is perfect. Maybe a little more noisy that what we're used too but you'll accustom very quickly. The two things I regret a bit and the first is not the K70's fault at all is not choosing one that have macros buttons on it. The second thing is that it takes TWO USB slots to plug in..
Pros: Very Sturdy, Sharp looking, Blacklights (blue)
Pros: This keyboard is amazing. I was looking at keyboards, and sumbled upon this one - coincidentally about an hour later I found that my friend owned one. I proceeded to tinker and play with the keyboard for about ten minutes and instantly decided that I could not wait for newegg to ship this item, I went to best buy and purchased it. I was a little upset about the price, but man, this keyboard feels so great to type on! Half the reason I am actually writing this review i...
Summary: The FPS keys are what sold me. Very nice touch. Comes with the tool to pull out keys easily. Zero ghosting very responsive. Actually I sometimes find myself strafing to the left, as my finger rests on the S key. Now there are some annoyances: First, there are no special drivers; So I can't figure out how to get the media keys and volume wheel to work. Then the LEDs epidemic for this specific keyboard. 9 LED's gone out after just a month.
Summary: This keyboard is amazing. Its leds can be adjusted to your preference, which is really good. The only con to this keyboard is that it can get pretty dirty. Make sure to clean it once a month at least, or it will look like crap.
Summary: I've been in the market for about a year for a keyboard that has a dedicated volume key of some kind with MX Brown switches. There are a few out there, but they all look too game-y, even though that's my main reason for getting this keyboard. I just don't need all the LED displays and doodads. I just wanted a mechanical keyboard that wasn't too flashy, MX Brown switches, and a volume key. This keyboard delivers on all those fronts.
