Summary: If all you ever do is play first person shooter then why not buy a cheaper half-keyboard instead of spending it on a full size keyboard that is uncomfortable for anything else besides fps. I really dislike that the function keys are not mechanical since I do use them however the deal breaker is the wrist rest. I am not turned off by Corsair however since I returned this product for a k90.
Summary: At first, this keyboard was exactly what I was looking for. Worked great - keystrokes were well-defined and precise. Now - there are a bunch of keys that register multiple strokes on one actual stroke. For instance, the number 9 key on the 10-key side registers anywhere between 2 and 4 keystrokes on the screen. There are a handful of other keys that do the same thing. I have tried cleaning the thing, but it just doesn't make any improvement.
Summary: I have had this Keyboard and Mouse for more than half a year. The mouse is great, they keyboard is not so good. After a few months I started to get my first sticking key (I keep my stuff CLEAN), so I know it wasn't that. Period key. Typing means lots of back spacing up....................... that kind of thing. Space started to stick. Enter would from time to time. NOW it's backspace.
Pros: Corsair, mechanical, started good
Cons: unreliable, dubious quality, odd for corsair
Summary: I've been wanting a mechanical keyboard for a while and I like Corsair computer hardware so I thought I would give this keyboard a try. Once I got the keyboard, and after a few minutes of using it, the control key got stuck. It wasn't actually stuck down but I guess the computer thought it was, and I had this problem with the alt key and shift key as well, if I pressed any of them 1 time they would just be held down even though I was no longer pressing them.
Summary: I never received my package so i cannot comment on the keyboard itself but the service i received was disappointing. Firstly, the amazon listing at my time of purchase displayed images of a standard British keyboard so i assumed it would match the picture. But after ordering the product i learnt that it was in a German format. I contacted the company and they were very nice and allowed me to return the product once it arrived.
Summary: If you want this keyboard for the WASD keys go ahead; this is what I bought it for; when I am forced to use them because a game will not allow the config I want. However, I normally use the Insert/Home/Pageup/Delete/End/PageDown/Enter/Shift/Crtl and the number pad for my FPS games as they are easier to orientate around and provide more options to hand.
Summary: The keyboard in it`s self is very good. My main complaint is that the lettering on the keys very soon fades. Corsair did replace the original Keyboard but the replacement has gone the same way. Why Corsair can not fix this problem is not clear, "laser etched key`s" gives the impression of permanency, this is not the case!
Summary: Do not buy. I had that kboard and yes it's good for' fps games but if you spill anything on that kboard then you can put it to bin. Once at night by accident i got some of beer on that kboard and after that when i press "a" it give me "az" same with other keys that get dirty. I did try to clean it with alcohol bit it get only worse. Also the way that keys are made you can't open keboard to clean it from inside.
Summary: Nice design, nice "soft" feel of Cherry MX Red keys and... everything spoiled by non-mechanical keys! Only part of the keys are mechanical in this keyboard. PgUp, PgDown, ESC, etc. are just ordinary keys. Feels really frustrating, when typing. Really looking forward to see same model fully mechanical, Cherry MX Red is awesome!
