User Review

Richard B., Newegg
23 January 2015
  • Pros: It worked for 6 months
  • Cons: This keyboard has to be the worst of all the keyboards I have bought . The ASWD keys all starting working intermittently only 6 months after buying it. I will never buy Corsair keyboard again and will tell all my friends to not buy them.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

David M., Newegg
16 December 2013
  • Summary: Item is pure junk. I read all the reviews mostly after buying this directly from Corsair for half of retail. Brand new keyboard started exhibiting odd behavior almost immediately. This item was treated flawlessly with only gentle usage.
  • Pros: Placement of mute, volume, overall size
  • Cons: Errors in typing, glitches, 35% rubber dome keys, cheap keycaps, poor customer service.

Angry and lied to

James W., Newegg
14 December 2013
  • Pros: Some of they keyboard is mechanical. Nice design Solid build
  • Cons: THIS IS NOT A FULLY MECHANICAL KEYBOARD!!!!! Function and navigational keys are not mechanical. This is clearly not noted on the packaging. I feel like I have been ripped off by Corsair. I will be returning this week and probably go with another brand because I hate being lied to.

Misleading overpriced "mechanical" keyboard

Scott N., Newegg
5 September 2013
  • Pros: Cherry MX switches (well 3/4 of keyboard is). Roller volume key is nice.
  • Cons: Gross misleading. Was shocked to find out what I thought I was a Cherry MX Red keyboard only to realize in a few moments of use that something didn't feel right on some keys. Sure enough they pitch you a full Cherry MX keyboard but many of the keys are NOT mechanical Cherry and are actually nothi...

Not full Mechanical

Jeff P., Newegg
20 April 2013
  • Pros: High quality brand typically, nice cabling, and has a usb port on the keyboard itself.
  • Cons: The metal frame holds static easily, the "important" keys like the f keys, delete and esc aren't actually mechanical. I got mine for work and couldn't use it because I was constantly switching between normal and mechanical keys. Flat out cherry reds are just not good enough for any sort of normal...

Dead after 4 months

Zach T., Newegg
20 March 2013
  • Summary: Ill let you know how the RMA goes, if it goes smoothly Ill change the review. Right now 100 bucks for 4 months is wrong.
  • Pros: Great Keyboard when it worked. I tried both sets of keys. Took a week maybe to get used to it, then if felt nice.
  • Cons: Worked one night, next morning it was dead. No lights, no keys would work. The USB pass through still works but nothing else. I took it to work to try on other computers and nothing.

Lasted 3 months

Carl D., Newegg
8 February 2013
  • Pros: -Affordable when purchased with a rebate
  • Cons: -Keys are slightly too close together -The keys will actually wiggle side to side making them feel loose even though they are on securely. This gives the board a cheaper feel overall than it should have. -It stopped working after 3 months

Bugs, no support - don't buy

Anonymous, Newegg
24 January 2013
  • Summary: not enough reviews I read highlight the issue with the stuck keys - RMA won't help as it's a problem with every keyboard, corsair is aware of the issue for 2 years and has not provided any product support so far.
  • Pros: Mechanical where I like it solid aluminium frame good weight
  • Cons: Stuck keys bug!! Occasionally deletes a full sentence while writing - very annoying Keys fade after 1 month low quality

doesnt work with linux

Truxton F., Newegg
28 December 2012
  • Summary: It's a nice physical design. Too bad the firmware is not as well designed.
  • Pros: the physical design of the keyboard is very nice. It is a very sturdy keyboard that feels nice to type on.
  • Cons: Does not work with Linux. I have tried the kbd_mode and the xorg.conf settings, but I can only get it to partially work. The caps lock light fails.
