Conclusion: The Vengeance K60's Cherry Red switches offer a unique experience for gaming. It does not have a tactile "bump/click" feeling, which has extra resistance. The light resistance coupled with no "bump" allows quick successive key presses on the same key far easier than competing switches. The K60 is optimized for any keyboard mashing game or game with keyboard + mouse control configuration.
Pros: Cherry MX Red switches for light resistance and high spam-ability, 20 key rollover, Contoured and textured FPS keys which can be swapped with traditional keys, Key extraction tool included, USB port available, Slick design
Cons: Wrist rest may feel slightly odd, Cherry MX Red switches not for everyone, typing experience mixed., Very narrow feature set
Excerpt: CORSAIR IS aiming at the very top of the gaming keyboard market with its Vengeance line—two boards with exquisite build quality and luxury price tags. The FPS-oriented K60 may be the cheaper of the two, but it still comes in at more than $100 MSRP, and will never be accused of feeling cheap. In fact, the primary draw of the K60 is its elegant, simple design.
Pros: Feels great; cool design; easy to keep clean.
Cons: Not all keys are mechanical; no software support.
Excerpt: Just the other day I wrote up what has been as truly pleasurable keyboard to use all the time, no matter that situation, the Vengeance K90 for MMO and RTS gamers , but today we have something a bit different.
Conclusion: The Corsair Vengeance K60 is another strong addition to Corsair’s peripherals line, offering the same high quality Cherry MX Red mechanical switches and excellent looks of the more expensive K90, but without macro keys or backlighting. Many gamers won’t use these features even if they had them, so the K60 should appeal on those grounds. The addition of the WASD wrist rest is a nice one, as well as the red keycaps which do provide a bit more extra grip.
Pros: Better value mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Red switches, Excellent looks thanks to aluminium chassis and optional red WASD and 1-6 keycaps, Well placed media keys, Rugged construction, ideal for frequent LAN use
Cons: Not all keys use mechanical switches, Only Cherry MX Red switches are available, which aren’t ideal for all gamers
Summary: By now you may have realized that I really am rather impressed with the Corsair Vengeance K60 keyboard, in fact I’m sure that it’s the best keyboard that I have used to date. But there must be something wrong with it, right? Well to be fair there are a couple of things that I would like to pick up on (even though they may be a little trivial).
Excerpt: 3 Flares 3 Flares × We recently looked at Corsair’s top of the range gaming keyboard, the Vengeance K90, which impressed us with a combination of exceptional build quality, sublime aesthetics and great performance. So we are quite interested to see what they can deliver at a more affordable price point which will appeal to a wider spectrum of gamers.
Pros: top Verarbeitung, präziser Anschlag (Mech-Tasten), kurzer Auslöseweg (2mm), Anti-Ghosting, Handballenauflage, Mediatasten, 1x USB 2.0 Port, Makros
Cons: Hybrid-Tastenlayout, keine Beleuchtung, keine Audio-Anschlüsse
